You know you are an oldbie when you'd come back just to see a single RP between characters you haven't seen in years.

You might be an oldbie if between the time you created your proclaimed "main" and you really went to RP them there was a gap of a couple years, and then, a couple years after you rage-quit after having RPed them for a couple years, you think about returning.

(This is a completely fictional story that might indicate you're an oldbie, not an accurate description of my current situation.)

Marq stops by and gets me thinking of the bad old days of ought-five and ought-six. Got me rooting around on the forums. The link below was a two-week wonder, and it was before the OP had dropped the bomb, but entertained with that eventual debacle. There was a lot happening on the system back then, this would have been after the Daehaz thing, but Einnol would have still been around and working something. Also sometime around the period of UtM's the Uncommon Cold, or such, if I remember correctly. Sworn Council of Yliakum was still active, as were The Enlightened. And… Duraza was about doing his Svengaliesque RP. Chazarus was still around, lol. Frak. Pisik. Xylaal. Zhai. Maerghaine. Hadfael would bug you if you were out of line. The old fire in the Kada-El. DR dueling club and Ulber hunts with the gang from the Elemental Light. Bit below was one bit happening on the system, and I would estimate that something less than 10% of what was ever going on in game ever made it to the forum, like footprints in the sand on a windy day, no trace. No matter how anyone felt about anyone else, or whatever anyone did… what a bunch of characters!

Last time I saw Xylaal was when Nolthrir females were released. I might have seen Zhai since that but most of those names I haven't heard hide nor hair about in a long time. That is sad since Illysia only gets her swords from Einnol repaired by Einnol.

You know, I wish lurking oldbies would at least log on to MyPlane with their old PS accounts and enable basic visibility for their characters so that I can read their descriptions.
