hmmm I do agree there is something missing here.

I cant see how deep it is, what makes it fit really really really well into Settings, not just it fits with Settings regulations.

also what i mean by everyone mixing with everyone it is an Octarchial law that a person in Yliakum can live in any city (if there is a spare house for them) and that they don't just live amongst there races. It seems to be one of those normal guilds, that are based in Hydlaa, and they never go to Ojaveda, or Gug, unless training.

so this guild is trying to make a better society? right so how are they going to do that?
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

well as it is stated, we go, we do everything as we please regarding what the law is. We could just one day break hydlaa law and live in Ojavedaor gug, we could steal something in Oja. But yeah.

helping each other out, teaching each other, agreeing with each other, going as a group, standing by each other (protecting each other), teaching each other new tricks, and leaving the ones outside the society as a manority

Most guilds (including noob guilds) stick up for each other and share knowledge. In this sense, the description that you gave made it sound like an ordinary generic guild - just like that non-descript black and white can of GENERIC BEER.  Yuck !

I would say erase the parts about sticking together, sharing info, and rank descriptions and rewrite it from a purely in character point of view.

What draws your guild mates together ?
What makes your guild different from joe-noob's guild ? ( aside from name, rank descriptions, etc.. )
Why would an outsider who does not know you or any of your members want to join you ?
What sort of thing do you guys do ?

A merchant character might look to join a merchant guild because he knows that he will benefit from fellow merchants.
Another character might join a cult because he's drawn to the cult's philosophy, the cultist's lifestyle, mystique, etc...

Now if a character heard about Protege ... why would he want to join ?
 - Because its lead by Zon ? "Who's Zon", he might wonder.
 - Because he wants protection ? Well, the rest of the guilds would probably do that.

I have an ego so large it has it's own gravity. So in short, yes, everything does revolve around me.

This guild's been done before, several times. Generic, purposeless, "RP" guild.

Before taking on the line that you only want serious RPers, you should create a history and distinctive flavour to your guild, and purpose, to attract real RPers.

Or you'll only get the PLers, who just want a generic guild.

They stick up for each other but the knowledge they are sharing is limited. Which means they would need a teacher, or someone that could add to the knowledge that they already know

humm? joe-noobs guild will not have the same history, they would not have the same activity inside, etc. oh and they are not outcasts

Quote
Why would an outsider who does not know you or any of your members want to join you ?

if they are an outcast then they would be interested. and the ones willing to be
outcasted. If they do not like the idea or/and if they want to get rid of currencies [trias]

[/quote]

What draws your guild mates together ?
Quote

being a family.

Free food, weapon, armour, utensils, ores, etc. [provided by everyone in the community]
which means no currency. But currency is still useful for outside the community

Quote
What sort of thing do you guys do ?

what we always do in life plus getting rid or trias

This might be true but if you look closely, a merchant guild is just a merchant guild. There is no diversity in there. There is no one that could protect them if a thief attacks them. yes they could hire someone, but there is no loyalty there. A like minded guild is not really my thing. they might grow but that is the only thing, grow.

Warrior guild - yes strength. what about knowledge? What I mean by knowledge is magic. Some might be capable of some magic but I dont think anyone could be an expert warrior and at the same time an expert mage (PS allows it for now).

Mage guild- very powerful I should say. but in some settings, mages dont wear Plate armour. I do not know if planshift does, they have fragile bodies, unlike the warriors. They do not rely on strength, they rely on knowledge.

[If a Warrior guild and a Mage guild join forces. Their forces would pretty much strength up]

Single species guild: species have strenghts and weaknesses. they have something that others cant do so if they share it, itheir strengths would increase...

If you really want to make an interesting RP guild then make some alts and join some well established rp guilds. Learn from them for 6mos or so and then you might have a better idea of how to make an appealing rp guild.
You need to be a student before you can be a teacher.

I wish you the best of luck and hope this guild does well.
Whisper bless :)
