Combat/crafting
« on: August 05, 2010, 03:06:07 am »
Hello all!

Well, Since the new update , the whole idea was the types of damages in differents types of armors , most knowed are (Slash , Pierce).
Like we know is Slash we have axe(150 lvls) Sword (100) Knifes & Daggers (100) is Pierce well Bow(100)

Well, these days has been more difficult to kill the Mobs  because their types of armors , you buy a 300Q Reinforced Battle Axe or a 300Q Sabre and you have more chances to kill a Mob more easly but still is hard even when you have maxed and have 300Q weapons

Well, directly to the point , you can Max Mace & Hammer Skill (150 lvls) but , u cant hurt even when is the correct type of damage (blunt) because theres not 300Q MAces! or Hammers! or you can Max Ranged still is just a toy! you dont have 1 300Q bow

(So far I have 62 in Mace & Hammer , even when my damaged cubs my hit is high , Blunt trauma is good when youre dueling against Plate-mail)

Make(just like the helms improved) the Mace Making and bow Making , and change the values of the damages , are bad assigned , and they are needed since the new feature were implemented
Please? Devs make that, Please :D

there won't be mace/bow making very soon - the required amount of work is huge and we only have one dev in that area atm.

anyway, you don't need q300 weapons to deal good damage.
there are looted weapons that deal even more damage than q300 ones ;)

\\o// Good to know , the bad thing Mace & hammer skill at 62 is more slower than sword  at 99 is really really really SLOW theres any reason for that?
I´ll spend more time looting Rivelings Eagles and Cutthroats.

It could be because the weapon you are weilding has a lower speed than the one you used to train swords

you should check the weapon speed it's not dependant on the skill

Yeah , I have 1.50 delay Maces still , very slow and hard , now talking about certains skills that are slow:

Blacksmithing: 2 months ago it was more easy to level up , today you can reheat and reheat but mostly the green bar goes up just a little! Im at 14 in BS and is really hard, and Im working whit bronze and steel , why the devs are trying to make evrything more harder? I know not always is going to be easy lets be realistics, but
is annoying to see how is more difficult than before (a lot more) , I know is good to make a skill a little more harder, but don´t be so cruel  :(

it's not harder, just different from before.
i.e. you get few practice for things you can do since a long time.
on the other hand for new things (i.e. you just learned them more recently/they require a higher level) you get a lot more practice ;)

Racip as you get more advanced in a skill it is going to take you more effort to learn new and harder things. This is nothing new in PS it has been like this for all the skills. It is going to take more practice to go from level 10 to 11 in Black Smith  than it takes to go from level 1 to 2.

Learning the basics of a skill is rather easy. Truly mastering a skill is going to be very very hard.

yeah I know Sarva, when you have more levels in certain skill isn´t going to be cheap or fast.

but say this because before I feel that BS get harder I was at 13 and the green bar was at the begining , I start to hammering and I was going quite fast, I leave the game for 3 days , and I take again BS and Keep hammering, when I realise is was more slow than 3 days ago, That´s my concern about, I have 100 in sword and wasnt fast or cheap , but BS get harder since that time :(

there was no change to that at all lately, so it's probably just your imagination :x
you know, sometimes things just feel harder/easier than they actually are ;)
