@ Caraick:

Imbalance is as much a bug as it belongs into the bugtracker that it won't be forgotten until it is fixed. And it is for sure unintentional too. ;)

I know it's unintentional  :), but there are "bugs" in the bugtracker (like the imbalance of max training levels) that have been there for weeks, months, even years without proper attention.... I suppose that's why they have a complaint department and bug tracker in the first place, right?  :D

Fixing serious bugs requires both competent as well as reliable responsible developers.

Developers joining and leaving on a per-month basis (even without further notice) does not help. PR disasters help even less. We need people who really have interest in staying for years and even becoming a leading member of the department. But they don't grow on trees. And the majority of pessimistic opinions keeps them away before they even appear.

I'm not going to argue with that  :)  That's still independent of the original problem though, since some developers has already programmed the current combat system, fully aware of it's effects and rules.  Fixing that does not take an army of angelic developers, it just takes one or two devs dedicating a bit of time to fix a known issue in the game that is causing large-scale issues.

Not our fault they aren't treated fairly in the Development team, or by the director. If developers are leaving left right and center its dam right obvious that something is wrong. Within the last year or year and a-half, Rizin, Vengeance, Xoel, Xillix, Zwentholo (I think), Keive, Xordan, Someone starting with C like Collin or something, Baldur (I think) are no longer in the dev team, all except Xillix quit. That's more than the amount of people quiting a McDonalds Restaurant in a year and a-half. Well maybe not but percentage it is definitely more. Theres something wrong, and don't go pointing it at the community, when we all know who's it is.

But onto a balancing basis, Rats should give out around 8PP then by the time the player hits level 5 they only get 1 till level 10, in that time they should be strong enough to kill a Diseased rat giving them 10 till they are level 10, from there on they get little PP like 100 XP from Rats, and 3 PP from Diseased rats, They should then be able to kill another monster for around 12 PP eventually they level to 15 that monster only gives them 5 till they reach a high level, they then should be able to kill another monster giving them 12PP But then of course they could try kill something a little more harder and get double the PP per monster that is higher than their usual monster.
So do you kinda understand what I am talking about?

first: we don't have levels, so wth are you talking about?
second: great, you have some odd imagination of how it should be for rats. now go and make a formula that fits all monsters equally based on the characters stats and skills.

if you think you are so great at balancing: go and write a detailed proposal of how the script should be and why. if not: just stop claiming you know right. honestly: there are enough of those "I know best" guys talking all day without doing anything out there, don't make yourself a fool by joining that crowd - nobody likes them ;)

Sorry thats not my job, I would but then that would be breaking the copy right rules for the ABC license as I am under 18 so no can do, and Talad would probably ban me for it anyways.

Funny how that crowd is bigger than the other crowd

read it again.
you can perfectly submit patches for the GPL parts (even if they could only go into a forked version as you didn't sign the ABC license) which include the sample data in svn ;)

;D

Big IQs. Young ages. Coolness and majority. Sorry for being confused.

Don't brag with belonging to a majority. The majority can be wrong. Smart people are often a minority; if the opposite was true, we would have world peace.

Becoming mature usually belongs to understanding that coolness is unimportant - as much as understanding modesty.

Sorry I'm too happy with my life to be bothered listening to someone else's opinion, I know you can take that in well since well that's all you do on these forums.

You know Vakachek, people might listen to you if you tried doing something besides complaining 24/7 to the people about how bad they all are and how much you know.

But what do I know compared to you? Probably nothing eh?

Oh so now I complain 24/7 well thats strange I sleep around 8-10 hours a day, and go to school for around 7 hours so really that leads me to only 8 hours of complaining... jokes  ;D
So really everyone blames me that I am complaining because all I said was something to point the devs in the right direction, and all of a sudden they all get snotty about it, well then, I really don't see a future for this project then. The only way for the future is opinions and if your gonna get snotty with every opinion then there is no future. Am I right?
