Music... What Is your favorite genre?
« on: June 02, 2003, 05:10:03 pm »
Hail all fellow Planeshifters

I would just like to know which music you listen to in general, or perhaps even as I do, while playing PS...

My favorite genre? Well my sig says it all, and I have no problem admitting that I am a metal head, although I like a lot of trance and techno... :)

oh what the hey, might as well put it down since i got nothing better to do.

discovered metal when i was 13 i think, so that genre has still got a special place i guess.
But then you expand your horizon and discover other genres, so i also like punk, acoustic, some pop (noooooo!!). Ah whatever, i like it as long as it isn\'t dance, trance, house crap.

I listen to rock, skatepunk (crappy name) and all other genres that my local radiostation play. :)
Browsing the forums when I\'m bored, nothing more.

Anything except Pop and Country.  Mainly Punk, Deathmetal, Rock, Trance, and Bhangra.  Metallica are gods.

I listen to New-age, Celtic and Final Fantasy It\'s soft, relaxing and it makes you feel good. I used to listen to techno and trance, but I guess I\'ve grown from it.

Linkin Park.  dont know if they\'re punk rock or rap rock, but i do know that they rock!! ;)

otherwise, i listen mostly to rock and sometimes to dance/techno, and on rare occasions, to classical music.

rap/rock, though you could also call it nu-metal, also a popular term for it.

I listen to alternative rock and new punk, as well as some John Mayer and Evanescence (not sure what genre they fit into exactly). Basically, anything that isn\'t rap (except Linkin Park) or indescernable screaming incoherently into a microphone. Stuff that takes talent is what I listen to, actual musical talent, and not just the ability to make a string of meaningless words rhyme.

While playing Planeshift? Gladiator soundtrack, hands down.  :D
