Did you let the launcher update to the latest version after installing?
Did you clear the shader cache once?
Which graphic chipset do you have, which operating system, which driver version? — Always the same questions we keep asking over and over...
I have a Windows 7 Alienware laptop. My driver version is 10.1.0.1008, Intel ® Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller. I am a bit confused by the computer terms, but hopefully that's what you asked. I have a 64 bit laptop and downloaded the game in 64 bit, so I don't think that's the problem.
Yes. Should be updated. Clearing the shader cache didn't help much. But... I auto assumed PlaneShift was running on high-performance NVIDIA processor. Apparently, it wasn't so I ran it by doing it manually, and PlaneShift ran smoothly again. So, I had my problem fixed.
But another problem occurred after I went idle for a couple of minutes. I returned to find the server doesn't work anymore and told me to relogin 5 minutes later. That froze everything though on my laptop, and Microsoft was doing that troubleshooting problem saying I should change my Windows... graphics? To Windows basic because my computer was running slow? Or something. I don't remember. But I ignored it and kept my regular settings. Then, my whole laptop desktop changed the size of my wallpaper and text making everything bigger. Then I had to shut down my laptop and everything went back to normal.
I'm a bit afraid to log back into PlaneShift
