I like most ideas behind the major religions, like doing good and such, but I am not at all attracted to the way certain people preach on the behalf of the religion to make one join.. nor am I fond of the way religions like Christianity, Jewism (or whatever) and Islam are making their way in the world...

Extremists and fanatics are the worst people I could imagine living in a community with. I would sooner die than succumb to their insane preachings :D

I don\'t have nearly as much mistrust against smaller religions such as the druidic one you are practicing.. And I am actually rather fond of the Ase (or norse) religion.. I like the mythologi that sprouted in its wake, and the characters/gods a whole lot more than any of the major religions...

IMO religions are a remnant of the past.. and should have been forgotten a long time ago... to bad they weren\'t...

yes, extremists are sad, they think that their \"kind and benevolent\" god would want billions of people who don\'t believe in the same god dead, which is very sad

\'\'There are plenty of people who believe Elvis is alive, or that aliens occasionally land here to do highly personal things to people, or that the whole idea of evolution is a conspiracy of Godless scientists.
Almost all of these people can vote and some of them have guns.\'\'

scary quote there from Mr.Pratchett.

well, elvis might be alive, I\'ll grant that might be possible, stranger things could happen. I doubt it though...

but if aliens come to earth to have wild monkey lovin to our behinds with metal dildoes, then my shlong is fifty pounds of prime beef and the bogey man is my mother

there might be life on another planet, but it\'s doubtful that they\'re advanced enough to travel here every summer. Also it\'s very doubtful that they\'re THAT curious about that particular part of our bodies...

I can\'t believe it! You registered only 10 days after me, tiger! I can\'t get over that you\'ve reached Double-As (whatever that, is) so quick.
Also...
I know what you mean about this southern heat and humidity.
and
I know what you mean about this southern religious conformity, these people are like stepford wives (or those kids from disturbing behavior).
and
Skain is right, you really need to fear these crazy people who will believe anything, \'they\' are the ones in charge.... G W Bush springs immediately to mind.
*stays paranoid*
btw,
What are you taking in college?

I\'m not signing anything until I speak with my lawyer!

LOL, love it mrsamd, always good to know I\'m not the only one who sees the inhumanity of bible thumpers.
and yeah, gw is a nutcase, can\'t beleive even naievity of the populace could get him elected

and the people here in cape boycotted the Dixie chicks for what they said about him, what happened to freedom of speech, I liked thier music before, but now my respect for them has gone way up

this semester basic algebra and basic writing.

\"Within a few years America will have the best educated americans in the whole wide world.\"
You gotta love when americans vote for Bush. No offense to those of you who didn\'t.

Oh, and Double-as probably means Double-assistant... or so I hope..

\"within a matter of months, america voted for the best uneducated american to lead them\"-me

heh, I\'m afraid that I didn\'t vote, in fact, I feel ashamed that if I had gotten all my non voting friends to vote against bush, we wouldn\'t have made that mistake...

although, to be honest, I don\'t mind the fact that saddam is outta the way, even tho we went in there for bad reasons.

I don\'t like Bush either, even though I could care less since he, and thank god for that, isn\'t president in my country.. We danes sent some of our soldiers to Iraq too, and I was a bit against it at first, but then I sort of changed my mind and thought that it would strengthen our relations with the US if we helped them, and even though the force we contributed with was extremely small, I am still glad we helped to liberate the Iraqi people from Saddam...

Now all the fuss in DK is about whether or not whe should send some of our police to Iraq to help them organise their own police force...

But you\'re forgetting one thing.  If Bush wasn\'t elected then Gore would have been.  It\'s a choice of two evils.
