I hate to say it guys, but I agree with them, to an extent, if you\'re sharing new music, stuff that\'s still on the market, it\'s wrong.
see, when you steal new music, you\'re taking money out of dozens of peoples pockets. the one I\'m more concerned about tho is the songwriter. some songwriters put in a lot of effort on their music, writing sometimes dozens of great songs, then in the end they only manage to sell one song in their lifetime. They are scraping by on the 100 dollars(if that) a month royalty check, which depends on the sales of the music. if a bunch of people are downloading that song, think of it this way
500 people download this song x 30c royalties per copy= 150 dollars, in some cities, that\'s a months rent that you\'re taking out of his pockets, and since this is done on a global scale, it\'s probably more like 5000 or 50000 people stealing his music rather than buying it
now older songs are a different story, some of them you can\'t even buy any more, my cousin, Sheb Woolly (search for ben colder, his stagename) wrote and performed \"purple people eater\" but god, if he\'s still making money off it, I\'ll bend over and give myself fellatio right here. therefore, it\'s ok to download it in my opinion, hell, you\'re not hurting anybody
heh, tho to be honest, I think like 90 percent of the winnings in a court case should go to the songwriters(the underappreciated minority)
