Hi Huggin...
Don\'t give up that easily! Your idea is novel and good, you might just have to file the edges a bit. In my experience the best way to do that is to get 2-3 people that like the idea and then toss some ideas around, the synergy usually comes up with something good.
Now I could be corny and just tell you to join the Arcane Order as a Spellsword i.e. a Fighter(barbarian)/Mage and promote the math in magic idea there. However, I would like to encourage you to keep the idea alive and form your guild, attract members and get some real-world-mathematicians to become PS-world-mathwizards/mages. Variety is good and makes the game interesting.
An idea on how you can introduce math into the guild and the game. If your mages go after aquiring and mastering specific sought-after spells you can offer them to other players or use it on their behalf, but in order to do so they have to complete a quest that involves solving some math quizes like the ones above in this thread

. (By the way I am a little clueless ?( 8o :rolleyes: as to the answers - my guess on the first one would be 5 to the power of 3 but I\'m probably making a fool of myself

)
If you can get a guild up and running with 2-3 members to brainstorm I would be happy to give some ideas but I\'m already on the Arcane Order council and assisting another getting started so don\'t expect too much.
A last idea I think your Math guild could be a likely ally to Arcane Order, especially if there are many mages as members, so keep us in mind.
Good luck and DON\'T give up. X(
