I know that this argument has basically died, but why do people seem to think that necromancer automatically equals evil??? It\'s like for some people it becomes an algebraic equation.
if you are a necromancer, your alignment shows in the way that you handle the spirits you conjure.
as an evil necromancer, you bend the spirits to your will, forcing them to do as you wish.
there comes however, the case of the tribal shaman, speaking with the spirits of the dead, using necromantic means to communicate with the dead. If your village is attacked, is it evil to plead with the dead to rise up against those who would sack, burn and pillage your homeland, rape your women and enslave you? I think not, you are merely looking toward the good of your people.
I\'ve played more than one good necromancer, but the DMs I\'ve played under always gave me an xp penalty because I couldn\'t \"force\" the spirits to do what I wanted... personally I would think that the spirits would trust me and do as I wished willingly.
as for this game, I\'m not sure, something like an assassin I suppose, lots of stealth and backstabbing, maybe some magic, not sure bout that, probably healing spells if I do
