Hmm, that\'s really weird... I would offer a few things that I myself would try doing in your situation, but I think you\'ll be better off waiting for one of our resident techy guys to come along and give you a hand.
I guess if you want to you can search the \'Net for a tool called \"DirectX Eradicator\". It completely uninstalls DirectX from your system, allowing you to reinstall it cleanly... however, I\'m not even sure that DirectX is the cause of your D3D problems. Still, it\'s worth a try.
