There are a few reasons for this I think:
1) We don\'t want to give too much away for players, If you already know what the quests are, what all the new models look like, what the battle music sounds like then it will ruin it.
2) Often we will discuss things that will have absolutely no meaning for 99% of the people. Talking about proximity lists and parsing XML is not really that interesting for people.
3) We don\'t want to make promises that we cannot keep. Much of what we do is not written in stone so things are flexable. So things you may see in IRC can change from day to day. So it would look bad on us if somebody saw us discussing something in IRC and then posted in online and the next day we change it.
That being said, we do discuss things in #planeshift. And it is not always like Niber has suggested. If you have a particular question that you want to discuss, by all means join in and we can talk about it.
