I do programming(if you need any help V6), but I don\'t see any real need for it in a SMB clone. Why make more trouble than needed?

Ok, for those of you that would like to contribute toward this project, please send me a Private Message listing:

1) What area you would like to help us in (C++ programming, artwork, sound, etc.).  Try to be as specific as you can.
2) What kind of experience you\'ve had in the field you chose
3) How many hours you could reasonably contribute on an average week (I just want an idea of how active you want to be, if it\'s only 2-3 hours a week that\'s still great :) )
4) (optional) Your e-mail address, if you don\'t check these boards often.  Primary means of communication now will either be this thread or PM\'s, so if you\'re not that active here I can still reach you

I really don\'t understand why you aren\'t using a DX based API instead of DX itself, that would pry be a lot simpler.  I\'ve never used DX by itself, but if you have a lot of experience with it I guess that\'s just aswell.  And if you really are making this totally 2-D, technically your aren\'t using anything more that DX 7 since they stopped updating the the Direct Draw libraries at that time.  If however you are going to be using Direct3D features then you may want to look at this or this and pry a buncha others.  All free to use as long as your game is.  I can\'t personally contribute anything myself, I\'m a bit busy with game development of my own at this time.

Ninjas have feelings too.  Mostly they feel like dancing.

Well we are programming enthusiasts and would like to do programming. In fact I am looking forward to the programming more than the game. Yes DX is a bit long winded (what with all the stupid initialisations and COMS) but I want to use it because it is something I would like to brush up. I have done plenty of programmin with DX7 so we\'ll try DX8 this time.

Xand already stated that we are looking for programmers and artists. To this i\'d like to add that we are not asking about experience because we\'ll only take those who are experienced. Programming initiates may also apply(not total \"hello world\"noobs however:D) and in all probability they\'ll be selected. This venture is about the learning experience as much as it is about making a game.

Yes, the experience note isn\'t a requirement; it\'s more just so I (and the team) know what to expect from you, and what kind of tasks you should be assigned.  If you\'ve done C++ before but never really worked on a project, we\'ll give you something easy to start out with, then go from there.  That\'s all :)

No website yet, but if I can get the Magic Shoppe operational within the next week or so (yes, it\'s coming!), I\'ll probably have a spot reserved there for news, etc.  If I can figure out ASP fast enough, I might be able to create a mini-forum for the project members.

Hi guys,

Sorry for letting this slip. And sorry Xand for leaving you hanging for a while. I still havent gotten around to making that program for you (well I actually made one but before I could send it to you my HDD crashed and I lost it). I have my exams soon so I am a bit busy but the story development can go on anyhow. If you still are with me Xand just develop that \"Cabal - Moogie\" story a bit and let me an Davis have it so we can make changes. I take charge of Charachter development. Also for charchter design I\'ll set up a form shortly and I request all Planeshifters to fill it up. This\'ll help us greatly create the ingame charachters as close to reality as possible.

Thank you

PS- Lets call the game \"PScommunity: The Saga\". What say you?

Auran,

I\'m sorry about your drive crash, I\'ve had the same thing happen to me  :(

Keep us updated on your progress, but make sure you put your exams first.  We\'ll get this done when we get it done :)

As far as the story...I\'ll try to see if it needs much else; since the game is just a jumpy-running-killing sort of game, we don\'t need much more than a backstory.  But, I\'ll see what I can do  :D

P.S. I haven\'t received any more requests to join the project :(
