Recommending Thrash Metal to someone who listens to Nu?
I though one only does that to teach people about good music :P

Oh, and since I\'m at it,

Yea, I was wondering about that too

Draklar, that song you linked is awesome!  8o
Viking metal I think. Is it just my imagination or do the clean vocals in the chorus sound a lot like Andreas Hedlund?
Anyways, I want more songs from this band  :)

M?negarm have some more songs hosted on their website although if I remember correctly, songs from the other albums are somewhat more black metal.
However D?dsf?rd, oh yes, that\'s a Viking Metal brilliance :)
Really filled with viking tunes, much like Vigrid, or Thyrfing in such songs as The Voyager.
Surprisingly not really know though... Despise having a good share of albums released.
Pretty much like Turisas, who despise releasing one of the best albums of 2004, still remain in shadows.

If you want more songs of whatever, you can PM me or something :P

I have a job at a screen printing company, although im only 16, anyways.  One of the guys I was workign with had some awesome music.  I asked him what it was..  and I could barely hear him above the machinery

sounded like oteph or something. I didnt get a chance to ask him again. and he doesnt work there anymore.

the music sounds almost exactly like the song draklar posted.

does anyone know something close to the sound of that name? i know its a long shot

Farewell Moogie, Farewell Draklar, Farewell Drey. you will be missed.

There\'s Opeth and Otep, the former being a lot closer to what Draklar mentioned than the latter, although both are rather good. Except Opeth kicks arse, all the time :)

Meh.  A guitarist I know introduced me to Opeth\'s new stuff a few days ago, I wasn\'t impressed.  I\'m using \"black rose immortal\" as part of a presentation I\'m making to a sernior music composition class though.

Wrong :P
I could tell that this is the kind of stuff my thrash listening friends are into and I was right. At least 3 out of those bands are thrash.
Oh and those friends are going from Thrash to Death, yet dislike all the nu stuff. So the case stands, what the heck? :P

No, I\'m pretty sure that Slayer was the only thrash band I listed.  Carnal Forge ~might~ be considered thrash by some, but it would be a stretch.

Well I don\'t see point (or possibility) of convincing you, really. Believe what you want :P

On different topic, which Opeth album is actually similar to the song I linked?

I just want to mention that I can\'t stop listening to the Star Wars Cantina song. That is all. Carry on.

I once listened to Stravinsky\'s \"Rite of Spring\" three times in a row, so I understand completely.:)

There is a promo copy of the new In Flames album, Come Clarity, floating around internet land. It\'s awesome - very fast and heavy. In Flames just keeps getting more intense. I can\'t wait for the actual album to come out, and thus February is suddenly so far away...

Nnnrgh. The music is pure love.
