DOOD!  That band\'s from the next town over from me.  They rock!

They used to be called Smackin Isaiah (I\'m sure they\'re in my list) and before that they were called Koen.  I remember going to their shows back in \'96....when there was like 10 people showing up.....at a rundown rehab center.

They did some kid\'s birthday party back in \'97 or so with Piebald (another good band) at this tiny VFW about 5 minutes from my house.

Ahhhhh the memories.
It\'s amazing how we can do things simultaneously, like talking and not listening.

Anyone mention Clutch yet?  I\'ve been listening to them after a long absence (hadn\'t heard anything from them since like, the shogun named Marcus), and damn they got good.  As far as Metal, there\'s a Spokane, WA band called Five Foot Thick I heard recently and are kind of intense.  Oh, and Alice Donut are one of my all time favorite groups.  They just reunited, I\'d check them out if you get the chance.

Bono is a good human being.  Does lots of good positive things for society.  Those other two, meh, whatever, they suck.

He\'s a good human being, but I still hate his music!

The drummer is amazing.

And here is the meshuggah video Karyuu talked about:  http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6668271242366126796&q=meshuggah

And here\'s some fantomas:

All four of those were gems.  The meshuggah video is ingenious.  And funny.  Very very funny.

You hadn\'t heard Meshuggah before?  Anyway, that link was awesome.

My other favourite meshuggah songs:

strings pulled at random
future breed machine
elastic

Also some of the weirder stuff like \"Unanything\" and \"Obsidian\" is great.

I don\'t generally listen to a lot of metal.  Meshuggah sounds \"a\'ight\" but if they have a sense of human all the better.
