are you completely retarded? have you listened to one word i have said? these are critizisms so the game gets better! my god your all f***ing crazy! are the graphics not bad on the landscape? they are! is this a pre alpha game? yes! i realize all of this and i am pointing out that the landscape is not good and i hope it will be tuned up! i swear, you all say the same freakin thing like no one has ever said it before! and are you goin to talk to me like crystal blue wont be a fighting expansion? Its a common fact crystal blue will mainly a fighting expansion! so therefore next they should focus on landscape! good god people get off my back! X(

No I don\'t agree about complaints. It\'s not because this game is free that you must not criticize it. Remember our goal is to have something as good as possible.

The Mafate engine (D&L) is using a techology especially done for showing such landscape wich is not the case of Crystal Space.
We\'ll probably tend to fill a world than making huge empty landscape. Now it means the terrains can be less good than the sshot you can see, but CS is also very flexible and can be improved as time pass.

I don\'t know if we will reach such degree of beauty, but we\'ll do our best to bring a whole world.
Graphics are obviously an important part of such project, but we must think it as a whole unit.

Btw, the screenshot you can see of CS has probably not received a big work on textures.
It\'s the particularity of open source, everything can change in a few months...

The latest terrain engine from CS team (thanks duhprey :-) ) can render landscapes very similar to the ones in that game.  It actually isn\'t that special anymore.  Dragon Empires has similar functionality as well.  PS will definitely use this terrain capability at some point, but probably not in CB.
