User - Friendly?

I just wanna suggest that the game should be not so complicated. Im not saying that it is now, I just hope everyone could play it easily, you know.
I believe that everyone can make a difference no matter how small or big it is.

It\'s not like the developers are going to purposefully make the game hard to play. :) I don\'t think you have anything to worry about, thankfully.

Any suggestions on what way you would like to see the game easy to pick up?

This is a big issue...how to make things very complex and still grandma..hhh...user-friendly.

Cause they\'re connected like a 1/x function; the more it\'s simple the more it\'s simple to use...and viceversa.
So one has to brake the curve. (I hope I made any sense) :D

I understand, I think. But large, complicated games arn\'t always necessarily hard to get into. I think what PS will eventually need is a newbie training area. A tutorial or something. And definitely a full in-game help function which players can call up using F1 whenever they need help. :)

This way, it won\'t be so hard to play PS because it will have a system to break you in slowly.

Yes, Mogura does raise a few points.  We fully understand that PlaneShift does not have all the bells and whistles that are normally associated with a game.  There are a couple of reasons for this.  The main reason is that we are too busy working on other things.   Much of what we do is core game stuff.   This means that it is a lot of stuff you as a player may not see but is critical for the overal progression of the game.  

As time goes on things only get better.

Ummmmm... most games do have a newb area, I don\'t imagine why things would be any different here eventually.  The newb area introduces the primary concepts of gameplay, and then there are optional nearby areas that go more in-depth on particular gameplay aspects, like crafting, fighting, etc.  You can make a game almost as complicated as you want as long as the basic gameplay mechanics are simple. So you can enjoy the game without having to dive into the deeper parts of a gameplay aspect you don\'t want too.

I\'d like to see our newbie areas like the intro levels in FPS games like Splinter Cell or True Crime, where the first couple things you have to do are very simple and designed to teach you the controls.  Then you get released into the wild with your newfound skills and hopefully don\'t get killed too quickly. :-)
