Well, there are a couple of points here that differ I guess. Of course we want to make a game but *WE* want to make the game and be invovled in all the aspects of it. I guess we are more of lego type people in that we like building all the parts we can. If we wanted a toy we would just go out and buy one.
The same could be same for the game. We could have licensed an engine, bought a network layer for a different company, licensed the artwork from another, and paid a composer to write the music. But is it *our* game then or just something we stuck together?
We end up at the same result but one is much more satisfying then the other

I am very inspired for the future of PlaneShift and I will never stop working on it and all the parts that are involved.
Of course people will expect it not to suck and we will certainly try our best not to
