The problem with this, as someone very wisely pointed out, is that I don\'t know of any guilds that\'re gonna be thrilled to have me, knowing that it\'s just temporary. I mean, it\'s not gonna look good if  someone asks me why I joined and I said, \"Oh, y\'know, just to bide my time till I create my own guild. That sounds real enticing.

Anyway, I want to thank everyone, especially Draklar, for their support. I feel a lot better about it now.

What do you guys think if maybe I finished my site here, and went into the game, recruited, got a few members, then made the guild official? Does that sound like a good idea, or should I just ler \'er rip?

P.S. My guild is a lot closer to The Forsaken Ones than it is to Bloodclaw.

Perfect. I didn\'t know anything about their guild exept the alignment, so I had to make my conclusions based on that.

Protect the peace but not to the point of being fanatics.

that\'s a bit more than alignment, don\'t you think?
and no, you didn\'t have to make conclusions, I don\'t think anyone forced you to post them. If you don\'t know anything about guild then how can you post that it\'s like your guild?
I checked the website and I can\'t find anywhere that your guild is connected with protecting the law
actually everywhere I see it\'s economic guild... which means it\'s true neutral guild...

how would a new guild go, with lets say...\"good\" way, mostly merchants....no power players (:P), basicly just a group of friends cassualy playing, and forming a guild so that others know that we stick around for eachother...?

No plans or anything....just a question...:P lol

Guilds = Power.

Join a guild, you get allies... information, armor, weapons, money, etc.

as for coming up with an original concept (my guild is a gambling guild...i know of no others like it) my advice is to specialise

many guilds, although having an alignment and a general playstyle will gather members from a large number of skill types (eg a primarily combat-orientated guild would recruit support personel such as smiths to make their armour and animal trainers to get them steeds)

if you were to create a solely smithing guild  (for eg) you could easily establish a name for yourself.. thus attracting the best smiths around.. thus other guilds would from alliances with you (eg combat guild would protect your members for a small discount on their armour)... and end result = you have as much power as a more generic guild and you stand out more

when it comes down to it... backstory is nice but it wont make you inexpendible :)

EDIT: if that makes no sense then dont blame me its 8:15 am here and i havent slept yet due to this damned addictive yet largely empty game!!!!!
