Hmm, you guys DO of course realise that you will be \'noobs\', just like everyone else aye?
You\'ve played MB sure, but unless I am mistaken, CB is technically a new game.
You _are_ mistaken, because the setting is the same. The locations will be similar as well, I expect, but that isn\'t even important. What\'s important is that you have _basic_ understanding of the setting. Like, you should need to know that it\'s underground. Also, you should know at least the name of Laanx. Furthermore, you should know a bit of the history of the place. This info is from the ps site and it\'s a quick read if you don\'t read everything. This is what I expect everybody to have done, because by what else would you judge if the game is worth trying? If you don\'t like cartoony games, you\'d make sure it isn\'t one before creating a char...

Therefore, we will all be \'noobs\' and the idea us all harrassing one another is, forgive my rudeness, idiotic.
It is not, because we will not need to ask \"what is Laanx?\", \"where is the azure sun, is it a tavern?\". We will ask about in-game stuff, like \"have you found the tavern of XYZ?\", but only after actually looking for it a bit (after all, that\'s part of the point of playing games).

What kind of community will that create? If people don\'t want to read documentation, so be it, they\'ll just have to get used to not having all their questions answered.
Will each of you read the documentation?
I\'m not going to read the technical docs unless I get an error that I can\'t fugure out on my own. I\'m, however, going to read the world description and related info, just so I know what my character realistically _would_ know. It\'ll also give me an edge, or better, it\'d be a malus if i _don\'t_ know these things. What can be figured out is the user interface, talent system, etc., but if you start asking for everything once you manage to get the chat window open, _that_ is n00bish.

Are we entitled to abuse you for every question you ask someone else about the game, as none of you will have played it, which is what makes a \'noob\'.
I for one began playing Star Wars Galaxies without the faintest idea as to what I was doing, but I learned thorugh experimentation, which is more fun. Do you expect your character to read \'The Complete Guide to Adventuring\' before setting out? I think not. I admit I had to ask a few questions, but eventually found someone willing to help me.
Sorry, this is longer than I intended.
Nope, neither your char nor you yourself need to know more than they\'d realistically know. They, however, need to know the approximate number of levels in the game and what the azure sun is, and that it\'s underground, and how to use a mouse. There will be things about the user interface that need clarification, but I\'d expect you to only need to ask one or two things about it.
If you go around asking what mugs do, you\'re entitled to receive some (verbal) abuse.

If you ask for tricks or somewhat non-obvious things, that\'s a different thing. It\'s common sense that must do the judgement in these cases.
OK, there can be a introduction like there was in NWN, that would be neat, but if you don\'t bother taking it, and prefer to ask many unnecessary questions to other players, you will not make many friends.
