lol, yeah, that\'s the reason I got it. The space expansion will be great. I\'m a kick ass (and modest;)) pilot, so I\'m looking forward to flying about blasting people from the sky. :) I\'m hoping that this will be the main type of transport to other planets as well, and they\'ll either get rid of, or make it more expensive to go on a transport shuttle. I don\'t like the shuttles now as it is, I\'d much prefer for people to have to walk everywhere, or get a vehicle.

*cough*daisyeatinelvesmustdie*cough*

anyway, who cares about n00bs, they\'re annoying, so what. I\'m gonna be a righteous shipwrite/rebel pilot

I have lived my life for this. years and years of training on X-wing/tiefighter. my favorite is the b-wing, with the ion cannons, and the single wing jutting out in one direction, with dual, top and bottom s-foils, it\'s wicked.

*drools over the idea of flying a b-wing fighter*

Bah, death to ye you Rebel!!!

I can\'t wait to get my hands on a nice imperial ship. I don\'t care which one, as long it has a ton of guns, good armour, and a giant thruster stuck on the back. :D

-=bites Xordan.=-

I\'m looking forward to the Xordan/Aendar duel as well.
But you must remember he\'s Cabali and they never play fair.  But I\'m still game.

Wasn\'t someone selling tickets to it....I think we should get a cut of the money...

Speaking of combat... at this point, is the damage inflicted completely random or do they have it so it factors certain statistics?

Now there wouldn\'t be much point if there were no rules governing combat.Have you no idea what goes on \"under the hood\"? I guess not, oh well. Well, suffice it to say that that is what stats are for.. ^.^

In the meantime, fear my \"Newbie Starter Wooden Sword\" which randomly inflicts 2 bajillion damage!

*Bites josePhoenix, dealing 2 bajillion damage. Watches josePhoenix enter the Death Realm.  Waits 20 seconds.  Sees him come back, still acting dead. Tells josePhoenix he\'ll be ok, and to wait until Venge fixes the cal3d bug. Cleans mouth out*... eheheh

the question is: Have you no idea what goes on \"under the hood\"?

guess not... if you were \"under the hood,\" you would know that... *pulls up random CVS news*... PalJr has been fixed so that the previous DR packet is stored... yessss... right

Really though. When I compiled the CVS, the combat was quite boring. Perhaps it was the fact that the model was really just a colored box with numbers on it. Perhaps it was the fact that the only way I knew I was being hurt was to read the text \"you have been hit! x damage was inflicted.\" Perhaps, it was the fact that I was attacking an NPC who was also a colored box (doesn\'t get much worse than that xD). I noticed that all my damage was 10. And it did seem quite random. I had the upperhand until I started jumping around to try and climb on top of the blacksmith\'s (ahh, it will be a different world with fall damage).

*steals josePhoenix\'s n00b sword. runs away*

*grabs l337 sword from nearby stall and duels with icebr4kr*
Btw icebr4kr how did you get on the blacksmith if there where no moddels? Did you climb on thin air :P Cause I heard no art in the uncompiled CB

**I just had a weird sense of deja vu...**

There is just enough art to keep it running... So, yes there is a blacksmith model.. and some colored cubes that icebr4kr saw... but not much else. If there was no art at all it wouldn\'t run!

icebr4kr: Ehm... Well, chances are that it won\'t be quite as random and boring when you have the real art and combat mechanics have been fine tuned... I also heard that the RPG rules are under the planeshift liscense, so maybe they have dummy rules in CVS? o.O Oh, well... Maybe its just not all its cracked up to be ;)

Gimme Back that n00b sword! I need it to battle fluffy bunnies! I would bite your hand but I don\'t know where its been O.O

I just fear getting behind other players who are constantly leveling.  I don\'t want to waste my life bashing in heads of virtual monsters, but I don\'t want to be killed by passing peasants...
