I am willing to bet it'll either be off BDROAD2 or through ojaveda...but im hoping it is super far out there to keep all non-klyros out!  JK

There's also a good chance it'll be past Gugrontid on that road.

"What year is it?"
"What time is it?" - I guess not every NPC will know the time perfectly, some may have no idea, some may have a rough idea, and some may know exactly.

For what year is it - two things. We haven't "started the clock" officially so there is no exact year; we know it's approximately 750 AY. Also, remember that you're a resident of Yliakum like everyone else. How do you imagine someone would react in real life if you asked them what year it was? I'm guessing they'd think you were mad.

For what time is it - you have a clock on your interface. You should already know the time. Why do you need to ask an NPC?

There are other books to be found. Levrus' magic shop contains books as well.

So I'll be guessing that the other two cities that were on the contest would be also in the dome.

Correct. There are several places which discuss some cities of the Dome: one is a merchant you can talk to, and another is a book on the Vigesimi. Since they are included in the canon, they are not going to be moved to other levels.

Without getting too far into it, Gugrontid and Amdeneir are meant to be - and will stay - on the Dome level. Lower levels may or may not contain similar race-predominant cities and towns. I'm not authorized to say very much about the methods of development.

In regards to the Enkidukai being on "the far reaches of the Dome," keep in mind that the Dome level is still circular in shape and thus has no "far reaches" ...or could it be that every place is a far reach?  :detective:

Someone nominated me for best liked dev?

Geez, I'm honored, reallly. I haven't been around that much, so it's nice to be commemorated. Can't imagine who did it, but if it was an actual player, thanks! I don't see myself winning, though. Still, I guess we'll find out come awards day, won't we?  :detective:

I'd like to see books on science and religion that contract eachother, or even themselves.

I'm pretty sure we have conflicting books on the nature of the derghirs.

srsly? Derghirs are, like, Kran midgits... How does that work?  ???

Derghirs are not krans, but they are both silicate creatures, and both eat silicate compounds. Normally their diet is mineral in nature (ores, gems,) but if derghirs get desperate, they will swarm a kran for food. Krans can eat derghirs, but generally won't, in the same way that we generally won't eat dogs.

If I'm correct, I read somewhere (in an economy book) that megaras are very rare beasts, which is why air transport is not much developed.

I don't remember the exact wording of the book, but saying they are "very rare" is probably misleading. They are, however, population-controlled (as in, people are only permitted to own one.)
The execution on the back of this beast was reserved for an Octarch; executions would not commonly be performed in this manner, resorting to a much more common beheading with a poison-coated axe.

To all you artists: great job, keep up the good work.

To all you observers: now you get to see the process behind making a city in the game, and how long it takes to go from a concept to a 2D overview to a 3D model. It should give you an appreciation for the time and effort required. That said though, who'd like to see this tried again? :D

Actually when I use  :detective: it means you should try and scope something out in the game. :)

Very funny stuff. I love how the thick-lined round character pics make the actual game backgrounds look even more nice...and the dialogue is great too. :)

I love these comics. I especially love seeing NPC speech I wrote used to hilarious effect. Keep up the good work!

I like how the buildings are not only done well, but appear internally consistent (ie similar to each other that it looks like it's the same city.) Good job!
