Mohonin: Sir, i have a suggestion about music
Mohonin: Sir, i recently found this site --> https://freemidi.org/ but not yet registered and downloaded a midi music file as i'm not so good with music and sounds and i'm afraid i may bugg up the system. So in this DEV Q&A just wanna say, those who are good with music, can try the midi files from the site mentioned and make interesting scores. And why i am telling to try it out is cuz once i have heard Talad Sir said in PSU version only midi sounds will work for music/the scores/the music paper... hope i cud explain it :P so it will be awesome to check it out. Thanks!!
Uadjet: Yes, the music will need to be in the form of a midi file. We can covert the old files (xml) to midi, I think. Not in game, but there are online converters.
Anysu: So do want those old scores converted
Mohonin: no, just want to be able to play music
Anysu: I hope could have both.
Mohonin: How does it work? for eg. i have a midi file, i get 1 blank score from library and then try to edit it, will we get an option totake the midi from our computer to the score?
Mohonin: did anyone try this way to make music and did it work?
Uadjet: I haven't. I'm not gifted musically, but I'll try it out this week.

Uadjet: Okay, if you have any questions or suggestions, please line up at the lecterns. Meanwhile, I'll give a little update.
Uadjet: For the last few weeks Talad has mainly been working on Diaboli architecture.
Uadjet: There was some Diaboli art that's been in the back of a drawer somewhere for many years, and Talad has pulled it out to turn it into a Diaboli villiage.
Uadjet: There are multiple buildings with similar styles. If you haven't seen any of the streams, I really recommend taking a few mines to check them out.
Uadjet: they really have their own style.
Mohonin: ya i have seen a bit of the stream
Uadjet: Diaboli should be fun to write for.
Mohonin: what is this 'write for' that you just mentioned?
Uadjet: I was thinking about writing quests and to a lesser extent knowledge areas for Diaboli NPCs.
Mohonin: oh i see
Mohonin: That wud be great
Anysu: Where would their villages be located the Diaboli?
Uadjet: I think NW of Hydlaa, maybe N of Homestead.
Uadjet: But I'm guessing based on old maps.
Anysu nods
Uadjet: So there will be quite a bit of work going into making the village, and then there's adding in things like furniture, stables, randomly placed barrels, etc.

Uadjet: Player input will be very welcome. Talad does ask for input during streams as well, so if you can spare the time to watch you can help Talad decide what things should look like.
Mohonin: Uadjet Sir, is it possible to take charge of a guild and do some guild management, with GM power?
Uadjet: It is possible to petition for leadership of a guild that you are in if the current leader has not been online for... the rule says two months. I thought it was longer.
Uadjet: It also helps to have support of the other currently active guild members.
Mohonin: oh ok Thanks!!
Uadjet: So file a petition, and if you can ask other guild members to do so as well saying that they support the change in leadership. Once I get those, I attempt to contact the current guild leader.
Gonger: Mohonin, did we not talk about that a couple of months ago?
Gonger: We, as in you and I.
Anysu: Be hard to do that if there were no other active guild members to ask.
Uadjet: I take that into account. Part of the GM Webconsole is a page for each guild containing last login information. If nobody else has been online recently, I take that into account.
Gonger: The small player base is still a problem.
Gonger: It is really hard to get PlaneShift promoted on MMORPG websites, because we do not really fit in anywhere.
Gonger: We are FFP (Fully Free to Play), and we are truely RP-oriented.
Gonger: A niche product.

Mohonin: Gonger Sir, some where i have mentioned a site named hotrpg.com, have you visited that site and saw what it offers?
Gonger: I did, and I was not exactly impressed.

Gonger: Is that the name? It no longer seems to exist...
Mohonin: and i got another site where they want to host the wiki, i'll give you the site name just check it out
Uadjet: There's a twitch channel with that name.
Uadjet: No content, though.
Gonger: But, yes, such links are always welcome. Damola for example pointed me to an interesting German site for free games, and I dropped some information there.
Uadjet: Ahh, that's nice to hear.

Uadjet: I think that new players will stick around longer once the can't-move-after-character-creation bug is fixed. Talad did write a fix, it's just not live, apparently.

Gonger: I know it takes some work to create a release, but a killer bug like this IMHO is enough to justify a release.
Anysu: Thing is our player base is small. Someone joins to rp, yet find few online to rp with?
Gonger: True! Which is a circular problem...
Anysu sighs
Gonger: I wonder whether I should open discussion about mailing ancient players again...
Uadjet: That could help, though discussing it here would only help if Talad were present. Maybe in Discord?
Mohonin: about mailing old players, i have heard in another game that EU has a law for such spamming of about 10 Euros
Uadjet: We're still missing the players that don't have a discord account, but Talad is very good at responding there.
Anysu: There may even be ancient players on discord, but just lurking, not participating.

Gonger: Informing people about a game they used to play is not really spamming. Also remember that we would send a maximum of two mails.
Gonger: Aye, there are lots of lurkers on Discord. I have no idea WHAT they are lurking for. I once asked the question, and nobody answered.
Mohonin: ya i understand that, but what if the cyber police don't understand it
Gonger: Which cyber police?
Mohonin: i don't know in other countries, but in our country theres a dept. for cyber crime in police station
Mohonin: and if the recipient of the mail make complain to police then there wud be a great problem
Gonger: I find it hard to believe that many people would be upset to be reminded of a game they used to play.
Gonger: More upset than about real spam they receive.
Uadjet: Yeah. People send out millions of emails wi4th suspicious or outright malignant intent. We're harmless. :D
Mohonin: ya it looks like innocent act, but who knows if a problem crops up
Gonger: The Evil Spammers from PlaneShift who not even ask for money. Big problem.
Anysu: Some of those e-mails of oldies may not be even used anymore. Some returning players have mentioned that on discord.
Uadjet: Yes, that happens a lot.
Anysu: So no ancient players may even see such a message.
Gonger: Well, we would not reach all ancient players, of course.
Gonger: I seem to remember the number of 300,000 accounts.
Gonger: If we reach only half of them, and if of those 10% have a look, that would be 15,000 visits from ancient players.
Gonger: Just playing with numbers a bit :)
Anysu: Live chat in discord voice with Talad might garner interest like a dev meet but in voice.
Mohonin: number sounds good, but actually doing it may have the problem i mentioned
Uadjet: I think it would help.
Gonger: Mohonin, it would not be spamming, since THEY registered with US in the first place.
Gonger: We did not hunt for those email adresses.
Mohonin: thats what the other game says but then he started to face the prioblem. this problem we can't actually say spamming but something like forced email
Gonger: Give me some links about this case you are thinking of. I will check this.
Gonger: You can give them to me on Discord, for example.

Uadjet: Hello, and welcome to the Developer's Q&A!
Uadjet: I think you all know what this is about, but just in case you don't,  this is where I summarize what's been going on behind the scenes and you get the chance to ask any questions you might have.
Uadjet: Questions relevant to Planeshift are the most common, but if you want to know your lucky numbers I can make some up for you.
Uadjet: If you have a question, please line up at the lecterns in from of the stage.
Uadjet: Okay, for the update:
Uadjet: Talad has been working on two main things in the past two weeks: Drawing, and Plant Distribution.
Karzela: Plants as in an addition to the scenery or more available to harvest for herbalism?
Uadjet: Currently, most plants have only a couple locations, and sometimes they're very close to one another (within sight) so it's essentially one location.
Uadjet: Ah, Resi knows more about the planting system than I do, so I yield to him.
Resildren: so yest the plant locations are being added to cover all of  our maps, and progressing nicely, were about to start seeding, how long that will take is n unkown atm...
Resildren: some of the changes will be that the added flowers/plants will randomly spawn, so one will have to cover more area to find them, but at the same time ther will be more areas that they will spawn to
Resildren: i think we have a nice balance for the different sectors and it should as a whole make it a bit less challenging,
Gova: Would they despawn after one harvest, or would they stick around for a while?
Resildren: in some cases yes, thee will be a set amount on the spawn and when harvestem it will randomly pop up at one of the chosen spawn points
Resildren: encourges one to search out the areas more, and discourage camping
Karzela: Also be exposed to vicious NPC's?
Gova: Heh, no more /harvest, step right, /harvest, step left, etc?
Gova: Fair enough. :)
Resildren: yep only a set amount can be harvested at a given spot at a time
Anysu: And larger araea to cover to find.. hmm.
Resildren: true but more spawn points then we ever had, and plants added to all maps
Mohonin: can they be found in dark with only a torch?
Resildren: there will be a good balance it's not like they'll spawn randomly over the whole sector, mo of a general area
Resildren: as far as light? yeah i guess if you're harvesting in the dark?
Gova: So it's more... if you can't see the new spawn point, climb a nearby hill and look around.
Anysu: Be nice to have some that you can see from the road, or at least not with large mounds of hills and mountain around blocking a view.
Anysu: I hope that will help, Gova.
Resildren: some may show on the road but those would be the more common
Uadjet: Our world looks very "young" in places. Lots of jagged hills and mountains that haven't worn down yet.
Uadjet: It's possible to follow ridges in many places, though, and they provide great views.
Anysu: Yeah I wondered about that as well in Dev options. Weather gives me lag. And I have most settings at low
Uadjet: Of course, plants will only be visible for a limited distance, I'll wager.
Resildren: never hurts to run the ridges by the side of the road, in concept, if they were just there for all to see, they would be picked and gone to another spawn
Resildren: but some will be readily visable
Anysu: I would use EVERY brown way spell to wear those mountains if I could!!
Resildren: on the whole we do want it to be somewhat of a challenge don't we?
Resildren: just balanced
Uadjet: Yeah, and that impassable ridges are primarily there to keep players in areas that are actually developed. The area with the mangroves, for example. There are supposed to be two towns there, but they haven't been built yet. That's why it's mostly closed off from the Oja Road.
Resildren: right pair of boots you can get anywhere
Mohonin: oh so terrain and building construction is yet to be done in some places
Uadjet: Oh, yes.
Anysu: Balence true. Yet I would not like to be a player who is following path of an herbalist and spend a looong time finding plants when you can be making herbal items and training that skill up.
Uadjet: There are... four towns I can think of in the current map that don't exist yet. Talad did a lot of work on the buildings for one of them, actually.
Uadjet: Very different buildings.
Resildren: @anysu if one decides to follow that path they could offer them at the market
Anysu: Fair point, Res.
Gonger: So everybody who wants can build one of those towns, Uadjet?
Uadjet: Well, I don't know. Talad was working on Diaboli (I think) structures.
Uadjet: We have a Stonehammer town to build, and a Dermorian town.
Karzela: Wasn't someone working on a stonehammer town about 12 years ago? I remember seeing some of the ideas.
Uadjet: Then there are the other locations, like a pterosaur arena, a hanging garden on the edge of the level. I always pictured some of that garden hanging over the edge, with maybe a few hanging walkways. Maybe a large hanging platform attaching to a cave with cooking equipment. A small cafe, hanging over the edge.
Uadjet: There are the ruins of Ylon Dynari. Simple now, but could be expanded.
Uadjet: There are Enkidukai camps in the desert on some maps.
Uadjet: So there's a lot out there that could be built.
Resildren: considering it was supposed to be one of the first towns yes it could use some expansion
Anysu: I would like to see developement of the west and areas filled with something.
Uadjet: Oh! And Kiroth. I forgot that.
Uadjet: If you'd like to work on a town, let Talad know. He'd love the help. I don't know about art for a Stonehammer town, but 12 years ago was before my time as a GM so I may not have been aware of it.
Resildren: I think i heard him mention that korma wil be getting a name change
Uadjet: Yeah, I think it was planned as a Dermorian village, but we seem to be going in a multicultural direction for towns, now.
Anysu: sigh I have no 3D modeling skills.
Gonger: Anysu, I think there are many models available already.
Mohonin: is 3D modelling and 3D designing different things
Anysu nods, but adds.. I also lack time.
Uadjet: Well, there's a lot of variety in villages. A Stonehammer village will look very different from a town built by Stonehammers or Enkidukai.
Uadjet: And a desert camp, for example, will be mostly Enki tents.
Gonger: Yeah, Anysu, we know this. Time is so precious...

Uadjet: But if anyone wants to help with a village, either building one or populating one, let us know.
Uadjet: So, drawings are coming along well, as is the new plant distribution. Talad fixed up what were intially Ynnwn buildings, I think, so I guess Diaboli?
Uadjet: And that brings us to the hour. Any questions?
Karzela: Will this courthouse ever be labeled in some say?
Karzela: Just so players know this is "the" courthouse mentioned in Discord?
Gonger: You mean, like a sign over the entrance door?
Karzela: Or even a sign post which may draw more attention?
Resildren: or a sign post?

Uadjet: That's not a bad idea. I can do a signpost today.

Uadjet: I was trying to think of a way to use a triple signpost, but I'm not clever enough. I'll just embed the signposts into the wall, so the sign itself sticks out.

Resildren: could lable it Govermnet offices, thus covering all it's aspects?
Anysu: The guard outside does say this is government properties

Gonger: It should be no problem to modifiy that message a bit...

Mohonin: has anyone of you imagined unlimited inventory storage
Uadjet: Yeah, very easy. Only Talad can do it though.
Uadjet: Unlimited storage can cause problems.
Gova: Maybe a new section for fish? Or fish and bait?
Gova: I'm using my storage kran more and more, as my number of stacks is getting out of control.
Mohonin: yes, with huge items in storage it may crash the game
Uadjet: I can suggest it.
Uadjet: Or anyone can, on discord.
Resildren: how much does one need to carry?
Mohonin: ok will do it in discord, thanks
Anysu: There is a fishing area in storage names. Could bait and fish go there?
Karzela: Hmm....I just remember finally finding a mine but not being able to carry many back to storage for quite a while.
Mohonin: my longswords are so many that its exiting max limit of storage
Mohonin: and some other things like animal parts
Gova: It's storage. I've added so many new fish, and bait types...
Resildren: wow never hit a limit in storage, guess i'm not the horder i thought i was

Anysu: With more than one character, I spread out stuff in those other storages. Can mail items now to those other characters.
Gova: When I access my storage kran, I'm handing over at least a dozen stacks of 65. :D

PlaneShift News and Rules / PlaneShift Unreal Release 0.7.48

Good news! Another release is ready for download. Enjoy!

This release cannot be updated through the PSLauncher, so you have to download it from our Download page.

Here is the list of changes for 0.7.48:

Fixed new player keyboard not working (it required a restart)
In PSLegacy we had the ability to create sketch from vector lines. You can now view the sketch also in PSUnreal. The functionality is view-only at the moment, and not sure if we will also do the editing.
Added new capability to upload drawings. You can upload a picture from your computer. This functionaly will be moderated, meaning a GM will check what you upload, and there will be zero tolerance on bad things. Please use the upload with roleplay in mind, so the drawing is supposed to be draw by your character with the technologies (brush painting or pencil....) of a medieval time. So please use it properly. Get your blank drawing canvas at Jayose.
Fixed a significant bug on the way modifiers were applied to weapons and armors, many were not working as expected and this is now fixed
Added Listarindel, a new Diaboli city, with original architecture. The houses still need to be populated with furniture and also we still have to add new NPCs/quests
Improved sewers textures by making those higher resolution
We found a way to finally avoid seeing pieces of the Dryken plane when logging in. This will speed up things on login as it avoids loading an unnecessary level. Maybe this can also solve the freeze on Mac at start.

Stop the auto-scroll in chat when scrolling up
Audible notifications on tells and when your name is mentioned in chat
Highlight of text when your name is mentioned in chat
Sketch widget size adapts to sketch content
Fixed limits for drawings import
Changed music score to use open file directly and not pre-defined directory

Fixed wrong rotation of trap in one of the dungeon rooms
Fixed a number of small errors in initialization to clean up the logs
Fixed Settings window to properly save and use "hide tabs" setting
Added glyph list to spell description
Some terraforming on the back of Ojaveda adding new roads
Added 2 new containers (chest-like)
Fixed faction preventing the score to go above 200 or below -100
Fixed day/night cycle for NPC movement

Added new diaboli lamps, used in Listaridel
Fixed ojaveda guild starting point and bamboo positioning
kormi not flying anymore
Improved layout of win buddies, skips invalid entries
Stack selector now focuses on the number by default
Fixed Login Window to properly store the username when you change it on same server

All the following was released as a minor patch to 0.7.47 end of January:
Dungeon and portals are now saving their properties to the server, so when the server restarts the portal will be immediately active.
Now dungeons save their state on server. If the server crashes or restarts the dungeons are reloaded automatically.
Added a new way to spawn natural resources, now a list of locations can be defined, and at server start N locations will be populated, others will be used when the player depleted an active resource spot. These spots can now be depleted. This is in preparation of the plants redistribution which will add dozens of new spots for plants.
Fixed bug to prevent crash in crafting if container is no more on ground when transformation finishes.
Changed the way a container tries to transform an item after a combination is completed by the player. Now this will happen only for auto-transformer containers (example the forge, furnace, ...) and not on other containers (example preparation table).
Improved the way the server handles exit requests when encountering errors
Fixed infinite money exploit on faction discounts
GMs can now create new natural resource spawns with /resource add
Fixed targeting of friends with healing/defensive spells
Fixed size value of items in a container when stacked
Fixed npc proximity talk while mounted
Fixed crash in examine abilities on simple non-managed NPC (like cows)
Fixed wrong message ability non implemented

All the bugs are tracked on our Flyspray, where you can register and add your findings.

Gonger: Information for newer players - you can tell a character is really old if they have a single name, like Trensol.
Damola: Gonger, thanks for posting all the Dev Q&A protocols on the forum for later reference.
Gonger: My pleasure. I am still lagging behind with the event summaries, but these are harder to do, and I was just struggling with and overcoming the Nasty Flu monster.
Uadjet: Okay, so you may have noticed that some of the bodies of water that you couldn't fish in are now full of fish.
Anysu: All have fish now!
Uadjet: I checked Gug Lake and Delver, which I believe weren't working before.
Gova: Delver lake and the stream now have fish, and I found a new pond between Amdeneir and BD that has  fish, but I was out of bait.
Gova: Blue Shan, Snowlilly, and Saffron make the best baits, but I've only found the Blue Shan.
Koraza: Found a bait book in the Gug tavern so may be fishing soon (tm)
Gonger: Some low quality bait should be found pretty much everywhere, no?
Trensol: the lake outside of gurg had fish at first but no longer i think
Uadjet: Talad has talked about expanding the harvesting spots to more locations.
Resildren: so what would be considered the low level baits? i can see that there  easier them some to find?
Gova: It's the order in the bait-making book, and the colour of the bait tells you the quality. Mostly. Purple Orchid has the colour of top tier bait, but is only +30%, not +40%
Gova: I only know where the blue shan flowers are and, well... Knowing might be half the battle, but the other half is ulbernauts. ;)
Resildren: ok so most of the baits are critter based, so not an issue for plant locations
Gova: You can buy carp in the Plaza, and while it isn't great bait it will still do.
Uadjet: Talad has also improved the magic portals so that there can be more than one active at a time.
Uadjet: He's also changed things so that dungeons are generated by a seed value that is maintained after a server restart, so the dungeons won't need to be recreated each time the game crashes.
Damola: Oh regarding that dungeon behind the portal when exiting Hydlaa through former tutorial area:
Damola: It went into the dungeon but then did not figure out any way to proceed further into the dungeon. Hitting a solid concrete without finding any mechanism to operate.
Damola: I do not ask for any spoilers though, in case there *is* a way to proceed further.
Damola: As we have been there during an event it was possible to proceed further into the dungeon.
Gonger: Resildren, that was just a thought of mine: Would it not be an idea to be able to simply FIND low level bait?
Resildren: I went thru it a few weeks back and managed
Damola: Okay, then maybe I have to look more carefully. Thanks :)
Uadjet: I haven't seen it, as it was rendomly generated. It could be that there's a secret passage, or that the randomizer generated a map with no exits from the first room. I'll have to check.

Anysu: I have a dungeon question
Uadjet: Anysu?
Anysu: I have not done many of them. But what happens if server crashes while you are in one? DO you fall? Do you end up outside. Or if dungeons randomize after a crash would you end up in another one?
Koraza whispers, "so much to worry about" ;)
Resildren: could be a way to teleport?
Uadjet: Up until now, you fell endlessly. I think.
Uadjet: Once a new dungeon was created, you landed in the starting room.
Uadjet: Now that dungeons are restored, I think you'll just end up in the start room.

Damola: It is older than 20 years. Many of the links to other former Linux gaming sites are not active anymore.
Uadjet: Heh, Talad commented on how long that quest was. That was one of my SHORTEST quests.
Anysu: Is that fish quest repeatable?
Uadjet: We have two repeatable fishing quests that grant skill points, but I seem to recall the player needing to supply fairly high quantities of fish.
Uadjet: That's back when we got up to 10 fish per cast.
Uadjet: The quest for the book is not repeatable.
Trensol: maybe incorporate net casting?
Uadjet: Net casting would be fun, but I assume a lot of work.
Anysu: Nets? Pole?  Nah use the claws is what I say.

Uadjet: He was able to load drawings from legacy into Unreal.

Uadjet: So being able to make your own art again isn't far away.
Uadjet: I don't think music sheets can be directly loaded. The new music system for Unreal needs midi files, if I'm remembering correctly.
Anysu: I haven't checked, but it wuld be nice to se Migg and me Anysu's in game childrens' books work that we made.
Thosor: I have Migg's music, but yes it doesn't work.
Uadjet: And just today Talad was working on uploading images into the game.
Uadjet: And got it to work.

Uadjet: But it gets us one step closer to being able to hang paintings of your characters in your guildhalls.
Uadjet: Or anyone who tries it gets their stats and body dev skill set to zero.

Resildren: is the leveling system the same for the fishing mini game? as example will buffs still effect the probability of a catch?
Uadjet: I think they will, but Talad did mention at one point that having a skill over 200 put someone out of the skill range the game could handle, and might be treated as having a skill of 0. Hopefully that isn't the case.
Thosor: So that is why I get so many "training is not in thee skill range" or the like from trainers
Gova: I'm at 201 fishing, and I'm not having a problem catching fish. I have one get away despite doing everything right now and then, but I think that's part of the game.
Uadjet: Trensol?
Trensol: any chance to introduce ai for npc knowledge?
Trensol: took me about a decade to find couchgrass

Uadjet: I don't know about NPCs pointing you to things, but the Harvesting skill does have the Prospect Plants ability. Maybe that could be used to find plants in the area.
Uadjet: As I mentioned, Talad is intending to add more locations for each plant. He has the game world divided into biomes, and I think he'll use that to some extent.
Uadjet: The description of the ability says it helps determine properties and value, but does not mention location.
Uadjet: I was just proposing a hypothetical use for the skill that would be nice to have.
Anysu: need more plant location.

Anysu: A skill for finding  them, helpful.

Anysu: Now that we have plant bait making for fishing be quite helpful.
Uadjet: It's the kind of thing that I think should be something players can find and share with other people. Notes on a map that can be shared, for example. Talad likes that idea, though he has said before that the map should not act as a GPS.
Uadjet: And to do a notes on the map idea, we'd really need to be able to zoom in on the map quite a bit, and that's detail that would have to be added.
Uadjet: I thinking aloud. Stream of conciousness.

Thosor: yes, but the lakes need to be stocked
Dentritus: I noticed while testing the fishing that my jewelery change from a +12 to a +8 Bonus - did greater and major get mixed up during the transfer to PSUnreal
Uadjet: Well, marking out what lives in which body of water seems like a player-led thing to me.
Thosor: yes, minimum spoilers.
Resildren: yep we'll get it down eventually
Dentritus: Are the new fish used for anything yet?
Uadjet: I rather suspect that players are already taking notes.
Dentritus: already checked a lot of fishing locations
Gova: I was doing that, but then couldn't find a spot to fish in the Pool of Stealth. We just did that in the event, so I must have been doing something wrong.
Gova: I tested the baits, though.
Dentritus: you have to get close to the water of the pool of stealth
Thosor: not in it?
Dentritus: difficult at some spots to get close enough without falling into the water
Gova: And I couldn't make kikiri meat bait.
Anysu: I got close to pool water and even the river with two of my other characters and I could not bring fishing game up.
Resildren: yes even with the name changes  pluse it's now a minigame?
Resildren: perhaps locations but i've yet to compare it
Anysu: Oh i made kikiri bait!
Gova: Oh, after testing the book seems to be in order of quality, with the last three giving the biggest boost.
Mohonin: today i tried the pond near gug, delver lake, irifon river the bridge and the fishing platform, and another water body little bigger than the pool of stealth but no fishing spot found there
Gova: You did? I keep getting goo, or whatever it was.
Anysu: Yeah I did get that kikiri bait.
Anysu: Book, knife, prep table and the meat.
Uadjet: Gonger has also mentioned that the pushup bug is gone.
Dentritus: Yes movement seems fixed, also had no helicopter bugs anymore
Anysu: Yet with that character that mad the bait, I could not get fish game to come up in any water I tried.
Resildren: rivniks ride again, and no helicopting for the win!
Dentritus: with your rod in hand?
Mohonin: Do less durability of the fishing pole has any effect on fishing?
Uadjet: So Talad has pretty well finished fixing the movement issues that prompted the change to a more recent version of the Advanced Locomotion Syste, and the bugs that resulted from that change.
Resildren: does that include the sitting backwards?
Dentritus: Yes, but had a little bit rubberbanding at times that I didn't notice before
Resildren: ( when mounting a chair?)
Dentritus: the double turn when using Z is still an issue
Uadjet: I think sitting backswards still happens. Unless he fixed it in a stream I didn't see.
Resildren: still happening to me
Resildren: i just got into the habit of rotating

Anysu: I do not see myself sitting backwards when I use z
Uadjet: I noticed the rubberbanding too, but I wasn't sure if it was new, or caused by a known issue. That known issue being "hundreds of items in another instance in that area"
Resildren: hold down the middle mouse button and  you'll need to move at least 40 % till you notice

Uadjet: Those are additions, not replacements, and will be part of the pet advancement system.

Uadjet: Oh, I hadn't noticed that. Nice!

Resildren: yes, as we're starting the New Year I'd like to propsewe have a little party to celebrate, we can all meet at the old RCD for next weeks event and have a little fun? we allready have ale donated and while I'm a novice I can cook up some treats?

Uadjet: I can help with snacks, especially with changing item names.
Anysu: Great idea! I probably have food in storage I could add. Probably not lot of same food, but variety?

Uadjet: The way kegs work is great. No book is required to portion them out, and no skill is required as the quality doesn't change.

Gonger Sir, are you aware of those type of website, which keep a database of different game and theres a voting option where the players of the respective games, Vote and depending upon the number of votes the sites are arranged from top to down in popularity. Hope i cud explain it properly.
A pleasure to tell you that i have been voting on those sites for more than 10 years for other games and the best such site i found is this site --> http://www.hotrpgames.com/
I was going through its instruction and options and what i cud make out, you can join with your website with voting enabled absolutely free. But i may be wrong. so there is 2 things for you to do. 1st check wheather adding our PSU website banner and link is really free or there are hidden charges? 2nd is if you go ahead with it then how can we tell our planeshifters to vote for it once every 24 hour. maybe almost everyday we can show the link which with the PSU member wants can vote in, in discord. and for those who visit Yliakum, maybe Talad sir can make an icon for voting.

Thank you for your support. You might wish to fix the third link, the leading "h" is outside the url tag.
I had some trouble creating an account there, only to discover that I had used my mail for this purpose already two years ago, without ever getting a notification, neither then, nor today. They seem to have some issues with account creation, but be that as it may, I added a comment about the current state of PlaneShift.

A lot of us were here for the authentic roleplaying, not the faux-RP offered by other "MMORPGs." Getting to choose my character's race, sex, appearance, favorite weapons, and preferred magic isn't enough. We were here to make stories and were put in awe of our own creativity. We had that taken away by nonsensical, unwritten rules set by moderators and overly controlling community members, and future development made it clear this isn't a game for people who want to roleplay.

No, Volki, a lot of us ARE here for the authentic roleplaying. Which "rules" and "controlling" do you mean? There are some rules against cheating, that's about it.
Remind me, when was the last time you participated in one of the RP events? Believe it or not, we have great fun during those events!
And with the (slowly) growing player numbers, spontaneous RP is bound to happen more often.

Where did you get that? Nearly all the interactions I see in game are in character, people are roleplaying. New game features can be leveraged by players for more roleplay, like the new dungeons or fishing. What are you referring to?
