I think that that idea would be too difficult (I may be wrong on this).
My reasoning is that many times a non-literal translation would be necessary, which would be very, very hard to code.
A good example of non-literal translations making more sense, is Japanese. I myself have studied Japanese for almost six years, next semester I will be doing third year Japanese in my second year of University.
Anyway, on with my point... Some things just don\'t make sense translated directly, it takes common sense to make them more appropriate, but common sense is probably rather hard to code into a translator.
I doubt that PlaneShift\'s multilingual society will pose much of a problem. The time zones alone would reduce the amount of time spent with other nations. If all else fails, only communicate with those you understand, like you would offline.
I do occasionally see people in MB telling others to speak English, I am not sure why they feel entitled to do this, but I\'ve even seen GMs do it.
