ok hopefully ill get the worst or secound worse single accident here! :D

ok, this is a real story ok, happend when i was about 11 ?

one day i got hit with a rock in a \"rock fight\" yes fell over and caught my face on a nail.  i ripped a hole in my face from the top of my lip up to the side of my nose and past it.

you could see down my throaght from the hole in my face and into my nasal cavity.  the nail ripped out a tooth and badly twiseted one which got stiched back in.

i was out cold and woke up dazed with a blood red shirt and hand fulls of blood in my hands from cupping my hand over my face.

2 hours of surgery, 3 internal layers of stirches in my face and nose and inside the top of my mouth.

the internal stitches disolved in time and i recoverd nicely.  now all i have is a hairline indentation going from just abouve my lip and up past the side of my nose and threw my nose a little.

there you go, a magnificent story.

oh and many more incidents with bikes including a broken collar bone, but there was no blood in that one.

I think i win hey guys :P (maybe not the car and bag incident) but hey mine has alot of blood and flesh :D
in game name : davoid

I need help cutting my right hads nails because my left had can\'t squeeze the clipper hard enough.

Well, its still really nasty. you have a lot of medical conditions and stuff dont you? that sucks.. im pretty clean.. so far. DAAAMN!! Calcium-aholic!! You have to show me your nails sometime, you never told me any of that stuff. Cept for the time you got hit by a car by the freeway.

Nothing that cool ever happens to me. I never see it either. but i hear about it. No time to write it now, maybe later. but lets just say it involves a car, a boy and an ambulance. (can you guess?)
hv down in flames..

Well... If anyone cares to listen to my utter stupidity, I cant wait till I hear people reactions.

I was with a friend, down the street mile or two from my house, and We were near some old abandonded train tracks and in a forest.

We had one of those pairs of Handcuffs, they were the metal type.

He Dared me to climb this old oak tree handcuffed, And i bet him 10 bucks i could.

So i clipped on the handcuffs, and started climbing..  my hands in front of me.. so i was able to grab branches.

Anywho, I lost my footing somewhere along the line. and grabbed franticly for a branch, I caught one with my hand. and jerked my other wrist violently and cut it deep around the wrist. i was bleeding. and hanging from a tree about 20 feet above the ground.

I couldnt hang on any longer.. and i lost my grip and fell. I got caught up on a few branches on my way down, slowing my fall..   But i landed on my side.. elbow first onto the wood slat of the train track..

I had shattered my arm from the elbow up. and broken my collar bone, which poked through the skin. I was bleeding at the wrist of my other arm.. Lost alot of blood.  never knew wrists bleed so dang much

My friend ran and got help, and after a day in the ER all was fine..  sort of.

I remember him asking if i was ok, when i was lying there. What a stupid question... but I think i was sort of in shock..   I remember everything..   but i cant recall any pain.   Everything was sort of numb.   When the ambulence came.. they asked my some questions to see if i Had a head injury..   but they couldnt get me to talk..   After the bone placement and the cast I sort of came to realization.

It was 3 years ago,  and now i have a puckered fleshy scar on my right wrist,  and my forarm doesn\'t rotate as far as the other one..   making it hard to turn my left hand palm up

-There have been numerous smaller incidents, but this is by far the most noteable, and doctors said if I hadn\'t gotten in in time i would have blead to death.

Ya exuro lives a block away from me. I live near glendale. I can write glendale on my adfress if i want because im on the border of it but i technichly live in La Crescenta.

And wisekran....OWW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my god thats horrable! I would kill myself if i saw my bone stick out! (though i have seen it after my many deep wounds...)

And im not very messed up Exuro. I have some allergys to some fruits and ecsima. Thats it.

Oh and wisekran im kinda responsable for injuring my friend so i know how yours might have felt then =/
We where at the park (4 of us) and we where near one of thoe things with a spring on the bottem that go back an forth. We stuck my friend on it and made it go as fast as we could. Ke eventually flipped over it and hit his face on the front. He tore 1 or 2 nerves and he had a tooth completly knocked out from the root.

Not near what happend to you though...

Ok, quick vote, whose accident was worse, Davo\'s, Wisekran\'s, or mine?

Since they included the healing process: I spent three weeks in bed at the hospital. The first week I have no recollection of, since I was drugged in intensive care. The second two weeks were nasty since this was Eastern Europe quite a while ago and the health care wasn\'t too great. Also, during my three week stay in bed, my muscles atrophied to the point where I had to learn to walk again.

Hehe..  Well, after I got out of the hospital and started getting around...   we laughed at the whole thing.

I mean really... how stupid is it to climb a tree handcuffed? lol

My mom has since doubted my mental stability :P

I guess it was serious, but It never really seemed like it.  One second i was hanging from the tree, The other i was kissing dirt and bleeding.   But i never felt anything. Then i woke up in the hospital, and stayed there for three days.   If you have ever lost a substantial amount of blood.. it makes you really weak.. and its hard to breath.  it really sucked.

Farewell Moogie, Farewell Draklar, Farewell Drey. you will be missed.

Some of you had some impressive accidents... I myself did some stupid things and sometime fell really hard but somehow allways managed to get away in one piece... more or less. But lets see...

* At the age of about 2 years my ma left me in the car for a moment. Being a smart little guy I mimicked her behaviour: I pressed the cigarett lighter on, waited until it popped out and put it to my mouth... lacking a smoke I used the tongue. The circular scars vanished when I got 12.
* At the age of 5 I climbed one of the larger trees in the kindergarten. After climbing down really fast (9.81 m/s^2) the doctor simply put a full cover bandage over my back. No large scars left.
* At the age of 10 or 11 I decided to drive my bike near a fence that was directly built on a slope. And because one can\'t drive a bike on a slippery slope I of course slipped. My right forearm caught one of the fences v-profile metal posts and since than I have to perfectly parallel scars of 7 cms length on the forearm.
* At the age of 15 I once again climbed the wrong tree. This time I got much higher before a tree snapped. Going down the tree I broke several larger branches with my tigh and I\'m still thankful I allways missed the groin. Finally one of my feet caught on a branche and left me hanging upside down from the tree - 4 or 5 meters above concrete pavement plates. It seems that I must have been swinging when my feet lost hold because I did not hit the pavement but a car\'s hood that was standing on a parking lot a meter or two behind me. Nothing happend but my mom got me x-rayed anyway... you know how mothers are.
* At the age of 17 or 18 I went to spain with some friends for the sommer holidays. Great weather and such... and also a big rock thing at the beach you could try to climb up when the sun hit your head long enough. And because its not stupid enough to climb up a very steep and high rock I decided to access it from inside the sea. After finding out that waves tend to throw you into the mussels growing on the rock I had another nice gash nearly crossing the parallel scars... only 5 cm long but a deeper cut. But forearms don\'t seem to bleed much.
* For the last ten years I spared my body more accidents but falling down a stair when friends of mine moved. I saved the DVD player and the stereo and only had to wear a bandage around the ankle for 2 weeks :)

The only times I broke something it was caused by my f****** temper. Once I kicked a squash court wall for frustration (I\'m near blind on my left eye and simply can\'t hit small, fast moving things - but tell that to a 12 year old boy trying squash for the first time) and broke some small bones in my foot.
The other time I hit a public letter box after my girlfriend cheated on me, breaking my right hand. For some reason it didn\'t hurt so I simply let the swelling go away and found out about the broken bones more than half a year later. Now my right hand has a slight angle in the middle.

As I said before: Some accidents but mostly without much harm done.

Hope I didn\'t bore you after all the splatter and gore beforehand ;)

MC.

Wow....I guess I\'m really lucky.

The only really bad thing that happened to me didn\'t leave a scar.  I was riding my bike barefoot when I was about 10 or 11.  My foot slipped and went into the spokes of the front wheel.  It ripped off half the skin of the big toe on my right foot and bruised my...index? toe really badly.  I didn\'t need stitches, just lots and lots of gauze.

The only visible scars on me are from shaving (legs).  There\'s one on my knee from using a crappy disposable razor. I managed to shave off a square inch of my skin in the process ^_^;  It didn\'t really hurt, it just bled a lot...

Oh, and the time I tried to reach over a pan that just came out of the oven...my mom was baking lobsters and I must\'ve been 6.  I really wanted the lobster and burned a large line into my left forearm while trying to grab at it.  That was fun.

/me has never had a broken bone before.

im a girl and i got one :P

Kawasaki Mountain Bike + 4 foot kicker ramp + no helmet + Concrete + Sand + spikey bush= whole lot of pain

Heres the story

My friend has a sick kawasaki mountain bike and a four foot tall kicker ramp.
i come speeding down the hill on the bike, and slip on the pile of sand in front of the ramp
i do like 10 flips sideways, land on my left arm, and my bike gets into this SPIKEY  ass bush

i get to pull the bike out, and in the process cut my wrist open ( i have a scar there) and i dislocated my left arm.
muahahaha!

well my worst one is where i tore my arm open badly enough to lose 3 pints of blood. i got a massive scar on my arm to show it ill attach a picture in a bit lol its quite large 21 stiches on the out side twice as many on the inside the muscle was all torn as well i didnt lose my arm though and infact its perfectly all right! ^_^

here is the mental picture imagine a massive gash in your left arm so large that you can see the smaller viens pumping and the tendons moving before you try to make a bandage of your tattered jumper.

Did i win worst accident or what?

Edit: ohhh did i mention i lost all the skin around the wound in a post op infection sothey had to cut the skin out as it became gangrenous.

I have many other scars almost to many to list i may list a few other some other time with pictures of course :P

The worst part of accidents is often times not the pain, but the terror and the \"pain\" the mind induces.

When i hit the ground after falling from that tree, you get that numb/dazed sensation.

before i fell unconsious I saw my collar bone jutting out from a tear the the left of my neck, at first I had no idea what it was, I had never broken a bone that came thruogh the skin before. It was shocking, and unforgettable.

Have you ever noticed that chuldren cry when they get a bruise, or skinned knee, papercut etc.   I dont beleive that the pain itself is what causes crying, rather the mind. they see the blood, or the cut and know they will have to deal with it until it heals, wear a bandaid, and other such things, the pain is also a factor

But you are older, you get a cut or scrape or something of the matter, and if you think about \"Whats the point of crying?\" you dont, you can just bear it.

Dont get my wrong now, Screams of Agony are tottaly different.

Hmmm I can\'t give you many scar stories since I am, well...I think I am immune to them or something I have two and they are both really small and from really bad incidents...Make that three.
I) I was four and was bothering my mom to let me help her carry stuff in from the car. Well she was moving canning jars and in a fit of anger handed be a #10 jar. It was about as big as me but I tried to carry it in anyway. Long story short I triped on my way up the path and ended up with four stitches in my lip. The scar is, and has been for years, virtually invisible but it is there.
II) I was twelve and I was running around in shop class when a guy using a welding torch started doing his thing. A redhot peice of metal jumped into my eye and gave me a 1.44mm scarr on my right eye that misses my field of vision by .23mm.
III) I was newly married and was cleaning the dishes when I started to clean one of our new whoostoff knives. Sharp little dandy cut clean to the bone. I used two butterfly bandages and a piece of medical tape to hold the finger closed and after a couple weeks it was as good as new, except for the 6mm scarr across that knuckle.

Now, on to the groin injuries.
A) Sledding: Me spread eagle on a tobogan that was stopped by a 1\" lead pipe sticking out of the ground. Two days on the couch and one ziplock full of ice.
B) BMX:
#1. Jumping off a ramp made from a sheet of plywood and logs. Logs gave way, ramp collapsed, I was just pulling up. Four hours in a tub of cold watter, two days on the couch. One Coldeez pack.
#2. Jumping over the \"dragon trench\" Lets just say that ten speeds can\'t get enough speed while traveling uphill to clear a 12ft gorge...no matter how big the ramp is.
one week on the couch, one new bike frame, two bags of ice and an expensive \'soft cup\'.
#3. \'deadmans hill jump\' apparently no matter how hard you hold onto the handlebars a 60 degree jump after a quartermile long run down a 86 degree grade just can\'t be done by a ten yearold. one week on the couch, three ice pack, one therapy session and God knows haw many trips to the chiropractor.
C) Climbing trees:
Lets just say that me and trees stopped getting along after five incidents that included bleeding.
D) The fire hydrant incident:
This one is a classic around the dinner table while company is over. I used to do all kinds of great stuff with my friends, on our bikes. Like ride as fast as I could and jump off the bike over fire hydrants. Well it just so hapens that I missed once. Just once mind you, the other times I was fine. This one instance though I cought my herlooms;) on the top of the hydrant. Me and three blood soaked towls, with two large ziplock bags of ice and a set of plastic sheets on the couch for three days. Plus having to wear that damned \'soft cup\' again for three weeks and my dad bandaging me up \'down there\'. twelve was a year I\'d like to forget.

Most of the other incidents are just not worth the time.
edit: PS if sifright(sp) is on the up and up I say he wins so far for worst wound lived through.

Hey! That\'s not fair. I only mentioned scars on my face. :D (And yup, the last one is here for good)

Ah the good old days of stupid bike tricks. Anybody know what ghostriding is? Well, to sum up, jump on bike, go some, jump off and let the bike \'ghostride\'.

Dumb way to do it: get going as fast as you can, jump off on pavement, fall down and roll down the street, rip a large chunk out of your knee, feel stupid as your bike only goes ten feet before tumbling into the ditch.

Also, I have a broken nose from when I was a baby and my older brother desided that it would be fun to ride a Tonka truck down some stairs. But he needed to test it first. On me. Black eyes for more than a week, I\'m told. And I still can\'t sneeze through my nose.

Also, did I mention that a HORSE stepped on my FACE at a full gallop? Oh...guess I did.
