Er.. looks like you guys all liked it. So I\'m going to quietly add my wiews on why that movie sucked in my opinion (I haven\'t read the book, so please keep that in mind while reading):
1) I think it was one big hell of a Lord of the Rings clone (sorry, if it was written before LOTR, in that case please discard this one). The whole story of the weak and innocent rising to power and glory, while defeating the evil has been a commonplace for centuries. Adding this to a fantasy atmosphere, and a detailed world was the primary reason of success for LOTR in my opinion. What has Narnia added to it?
Nothing. The world is nowhere as detailed, living and believable as Tolkien\'s. But it tries to be. While watching the movie, I never felt myself sucked in by it.
2) The heroes were just so fake to me. The big brother was the only character IMHO who looked credible. (Oh, and the part that really made me throw my brains away was the one, when Santa showed up, and brought weapons to all of them. Don\'t you think that one was ridiculous?)
3) The movie was a Hollywood superproduction, and thus too much action oriented (as pointed out by others). I would have liked to know more about Narnia, its secrets, its magic, and its people. That might just have saved the movie for me.
