even then, not only doesn't it work your memory, but the potential for screenshots etc would make it a liability...
what could work is maybe something like paint or some such crude app, so you can draw your own...
Yea, of course I'm kidding.. you can do that already by opening paint... or a box of crayons...
I have no idea how the application for mapping (as in dev makes place for you to run around, not a map of the terrtain, but the terrain as a map file) ps works, but I was just remembering how in a crude mapping app i used to use, I would often put a smaller scale map, by copying all the brushes at once except wals & sky &/or ceiling, paste as group, scale waaaaay down. losing a few or a lot of smaller brushes that were no longer needed & putting all or most (but usually all) to more simple texture/s (occasionally for bigger maps shapes would be too many brushes too small to work so i would replace buildings with blocks and such)....
Not sure if thats feasable in ps, as it did't work out great for me so often... but more to the point; when it did work it looked awesome, and let players get more of an overall lay of a specific terrain (in my mind I'm thinking hydlaa of course, as it is the so developped to build a model of, like in a city hall or such) while still leaving those less old with confusion & a spark of awareness of surroundings... But I would be a little bthered that screenies could be abused by adding what's where on them as spoilers...
There would be no reason to make a mini of a road. Maybe oja or arena for library..
But here's what this idea has pinwheeled into:
A mini DR map to play ingame as a boardgame!
"You advance 5 spaces, you fell off a ledge."
I would love for anone who likes that idea to start a wishlist thread discussing how an idea like that might work whether doable or not.
