Aside from Ynwwn, any child of two races is purely one race or the other. They will not carry any traits of the race they do not take after. However, the child will have traits and features similar to both parent's traits and features
relative to their own race. A dwarven child with a tall dwaven mother and short Dermorian father may grow up to be a short dwarf, taking after his father's size relative to other Dermorians, despite Dermorians being a taller race than dwarves.
Relative traits that will carry over from both parents despite race are hight, body structure, beauty, personality inclinations, etc. A child will never inherit a racial trait from the parent they did not take after. If the elvish father has the common red hair of his people, the Lemur child will -not- have any red coloring in his hair, but will instead have an equally common Lemur hair color equivalent to the elvish red.
The child will also never be a clone.
Why? The genes of the non-dominant parent's race are converted into the equivalent genes of the the other parent's race upon conception.
How? Magic and possible divine intervention. It is a fantasy game. Leave a little mystery in things.
