Ok, I need to correct two things.

The remaining three bidders are not the only guilds who have expressed interest, nor did all of them have 30 million tria.  The Adani Order and Roots of Vocation both had over 29.5 million tria, and at least half of the money for both guilds came from metallurgy.  The CW pulled out of the bidding well before the 30 million mark, and the Bounty Hunters did not have a bidder present.

As to the bid placed by The Adani Order, yes, we had loans. No, not all of our money came from loans.  Glaciusor and myself have been glued to the forges and mines since this auction announcement was placed, and the rest of the guild, as well as many close friends mined daily and quested to fund our bid.  We also went through our storages and started liquidating GM items, weapons collections and various other things to raise tria. We had a lot of help, and couldn't have done it without the people who were kind enough to help us with mining, hammering and loans.  We are extremely grateful for that, and even now are working towards repaying the loans off.

i think it's a bit nonsense that people here make other people feel kinda obliged to explain where they got their trias from. I for one have already expressed my gratulations to members of the Adani Order in game, and express those gratulations in here as well. Well earned!

@Garile: i am also from the Netherlands and from my end Earo's post was

Hm, Is it possible the auction on the 7th, can be moved to the 8th, so that it is on a saturday rather then a friday?

but still, that is indeed a little late to change auction dates, i agree there with you

I'm mining a lot now; the next auction is near.
Ardoin: So, do you drink moonshine?
Earowo: As long as it has alcohol, I'll drink it.

i think it's a bit nonsense that people here make other people feel kinda obliged to explain where they got their trias from.

There is no obligation here.

My original post; which may have kicked off this aspect of the thread; was my inability to fathom how 4 players could have an approximate wealth of 120 million tria in any reasonable amount of online playing time. There are numerous threads on the forum discussing how hard it is to advance and gain loot in PS. No one seems to take those threads as an affront; nor feel obligated to explain their advancements.

When my question was asked there were explanations of loans and the like. It seemed particularly insightful how much RP can go on while grinding in the mines, though. Yet nothing was offered as simple as, Mining brings in X amount of tria on average per hour and after Y amount of hours my bank account has Z tria in it. With such a function the rest is straight math to get an idea of how many hours of online game play it would take to amass 120 million tria.

Having such data could then open up a more useful discussion of how much sense it makes to have such grinder dedicated auctions for GHs on the RP server in the first place.

Ok, I will try not to give spoilers in this reply Nova... but I can send you more concrete numbers in a PM if you would like.

With Teshia: I can loot on average 35-100K in an hour on either one of my favorite hunting grounds.  That's in tria and unnamed weapons and armor.

With Alts: I can quest for glyphs that are in demand, and sell them on average for 100-200K to players who either choose not to run the quests themselves, or who don't have access to certain areas, etc.

With Tessra: I can hammer and smelt Iron.  With a level 10 blacksmith and 10 metallurgy, working only iron stocks, I can make 250-500K in a day off 300q stocks.  Now, iron is worth the same as steel, but bronze is worth >2k more per stock... if you can make it 300q.  Imagine what someone with >30 met and BS can do.   Also, imagine what crafters can do, when they can sell 300q weapons, shields and helms for anywhere from 15K-150K per item.  I know my axes can cost 45-60K depending on the crafter... so, thats another way to amass tria quickly.

Hope that helps a little in explaining where so much tria can come from.

To the guilds bidding later today: Best of Luck!

Two down one to go, and the second went for a lowly 5 Million, so there is hope, get to the auction tomorrows.

The Ojaveda house was won by Roots of Vocation.  Other bidders were the Ever Trading Co and the Bounty Hunters.

woah waoh woah, exactly who in my guild was trying to bid? we have 'no' intention on getting a house in either winch or ojaveda, neither work for our guilds intentions. hydlaa is best suited, gug was simply the second choice..

Who cares where a GH is unless you are a racial guild? If you're guild is important to travel to your GH then people will go the extra mile  ;)

We want the guild placed for convenience, its not going to be a private house, i think i've said that a few times now, oja is dead to anyone other then a few blacksmiths, and winch requires quests to access, newer players, and lazy players, cant get in there.
