When you start the game you`ll see the 3 buttons - Create Quit Connect. If you already have char press Connect and you`ll see dialog screen where server is planeshift.it you must change it to 203.81.47.74.
If you don`t have a char press Create choose the name of char, race and press quick connect.

yesterday the game worked perfect but now when i have played for 5-10 min it says there is a linkdead. Anyone have the same problem? HEEEELP!

i\'ve tried logging on with kaoris, kyara, jasmyne, Edie, teralynn and all fail for some reason or another. most commonly linkdead problem. i\'m playing on my friend\'s network, and i know it\'s firewalled, but it hasn\'t presented a problem before with other games. kaoris, kyara, and jasmyne are taken names (to my utter disappointment, especially the former two were nowhere near popular until i started using them waaay back in \'90) but the last two were database errors. actually, i take that back, kaoris and jasmyne were taken and kyara was a database/linkdead error. either way at the very least can edie and teralynn be deleted? thanks.

Ok, I created a character on 203.81.47.27. When I went to Connect I input the info and it said \"Not able to connect to server\" What\'s up with that? Help!

Ok, I input the connect info and hit connect. After about 15 seconds it said \"Server is not running or is unavailable. Please check to website or the forums for more help.\" I\'ve gotten that several times when I try to connect. How do I fix this?

When I told you to come to this thread, I didn\'t mean for you to ask the same question... You can\'t have your account deleted because its valid, Linkdeath has nothing to do with the validity of an account.  Follow Axsyrus\' advice: why don\'t you just read this thread instead of posting in it...

I don\'t believe that there is firewall made by Microsoft that is built in Win98, or any Windows system for that matter, previous to XP.

...then why do i get link dead? after that if I switch it to the ip adress it says: error loading character database, please contact forums for help.
