Boss Monster

Hey dudes, here\'s a boss monter I\'ve just created

Name: Astaroth -  The Lava Nemesis

Description The Lava Nemesis is a 2,5 metters tall demon from the underground. His body have the same proportions of a Diaboli, it have dragon\'s wings (although in a smaller proportion), two big horns in the head, and no hair. Instead of it, he have a big carapace, just like a dragon\'s one, in the edge of the head. His skin is almost identical to a dragon\'s one, but more harder. His sweat is hot as fire, and shines as hot lava, which sometimes gives him a shining appearance. His spit is very acid and hot, and can easily melt some of the hardest rocks. His fingers are almost big claws. The Lava Nemesis cannot speak nor cast usual spells, but is a very inteligent being, having his own powers like talking telephatically with the others. Usually those beings are extremely cruel and sadic, and lives in caves very deep in the earth, never being able to see daylight. No one actually knows how such monstruous begin actually exists, although some studious says they are a magical fusion between a Diaboli and a Fire Dragon.

Colors  All his body is a dark red, with some parts shining yellow due to the lava sweat. His eyes are also a shining yellow, and all his body is covered by a big hot smoke. Characters near him MUST have some kind of fire protection or will suffer constant damage.

Attributes He is completely imune to any kind of fire magic or damage. Any water or cold magic will turn into smoke near him, giving him also a nice breeze. Dark magic or spells will restore his life. He does attack with his own hands for a very big damage, sometimes also casting a fire breath. His back is full of spikes, and anyone who tries to attack him with swords or axes by his back, will have a VERY high probability of failure, plus a high probability of having the weapon broke by his hard spikes. His only magical weakness are the holy magics.

Difficult Extremely hard. A group of 4 hardcore players, or 6/7 veteran players to take him out, with the right strategies and abilities. No single player can kill him.

I give permission to Planeshift use and abuse him.

Chryalis spider

The Chryalis spider is 10 cm when fully active and 4 cm when in its dormant or enchanted state.
It resembles a cut gem and the species of creature it first feeds upon will determine its colour.
When first hatched Chryalii are a stoney colouration and will kill the first creature they happen upon.
The venom used by the spider is magical in nature and will turn all blood to crystal to be ingested by the spider.
The chryalii are used in the manufacture of magical amulets and while incredibly dangerous in the hatchling stage, they can be bound to an alloy developed by the jewellery,alchemy and crystal way devotees.
The problem with these amulets are that they are alive and need to feed upon their users. Taking half of all hits once per week.
The advantage of this is that the amulet will boost the magical, natural or martial abilities of the user depending on the colour of the chryalis.
The spiders only live in areas of high light intensity and will die if not bound to a trelz amulet.
The trelz is electrum in specific proportions treated by alchemy and crystal enchantment all stages of development are seperate and fanatically protected by the guilds.
The chryalii are rare and can only be harvested by species with no internal fluids they have an acidic mouthpiece which will bore through any armour and will naturally drain enchantment.
Due to their rarity life lost and time involved in making these amulets they are extremely expensive.
I give the plane shift team to use this idea as they like and at their discretion

Final Boss:Laanx

The God Laanx would make the perfect final boss,she or he sounds super creepy a disfigured face that is covered by a haunting masked with a giant red robe,she would have all kinds of powerful attacks and could easily kill medium class heros,she/he would prob be a giant size.Weopon could be the crystal wich surounds the city wich she/he could use to destroy the place giving reason to fight her,she could end up killing the other god and wanting to take all the races under her control and cause of resistance she threatens to destroy them all.but the story isnt up to me but im just sayin laanx would make a wicked boss!

thats a cool idea except that laanx is a god and gods cant die...but there could be a mortal avatar of laanx that could prove just as challenging. i also think that there should be good bosses and evil bosses. good bosses would guard something valuable to prevent evil characters from using them.while evil bosses would guard something that spawns evil demons and will not stop till it is destroyed or whatever.

Mortal avatars of gods as the virtually impossible to defeat type of encounter - I love that idea :D

Reminds me of an encounter I\'ve just had in Neverwinter Nights, with the avatar of the \'Spirit of the Wood\' - a magnificent stag with great magical powers.

Her is my monster idea :

Name : Nymph / Dryad

Description : a beatiful, nude woman whith green skin ( for the nudity pb ) who live in the forest .
Basicaly non-agressive, the Nymph / Dryad will only attack when attacked.

Weapon / Specials : The Nymph is kind of weak but it can use magic. The problem is, if you attack a nymph , all the others nymphs will help the first one and fight you.
Then, every animal which see the fight will automaticaly defend the Nymph and attack you, too.

Loot / Reward : a ring/ earring / belt which raise your charisma .



I hope you ll enjoy my monster  8)

General Name:Underground Trolls
I\'m not sure for the Name though

description:

Depending on their rank, they go from very little(smaller than dwarf character) to somewhat bigger, (same height as  dwarf character)

They have long pointy nose and ears, usually no hair, sometimes they wear headgear and armor that only they are able to wear, but it\'s made of precious metals.

Their skins are dark greenish, and they are usually dirty little things.

Their eyes and teeth glow in the dark.

Weapons/skillz:

 They are not too strong, in fact a beginner can take on one of them, but the thing is no one will be fighting against a single of these creatures.

If a player happens to find this troll, and if the troll sees the player, which he deffinately will due to trolls night vision and good knowledge of his undeground city, the troll will immediately run, and it will run until if finds at least 5 or more of his comrades.  Then, only them they will all attack a player.  Like I said, due to their good vision it\'s impossible to hide from them, so the idea is to run away to the sun if they overpower you.

They mostly don\'t posess any weapons, and they bite, kick painfull points in your body, mosty on leg area.  Some of them throw metallic rocks at you which will deffinately hurt you.
 
They don\'t posess any magic, although, if they happen to come up too far from their city, their night vision goes away and they become blind.  It\'s a good way to trick them into a trap.  They will only follow you though, if they have like 10 of them at the same time.

Location:

They are not rare creatures, but very very hard to find because they live way underground and only in areas famous for expensive metals. They live in little cities that can go from 10 to 15 little huts. These cities are very very deep and if one happens to  travel there, he better know how he got there because the path is long, repetative, dark, and down hill.

Loot/reward:

Like I said, armor that they drop is made out of pricy metals because of their strength and beauty.
So they will usually drop helmets, chest, shoulder, leg pads, etc.  


Hostility:

They are hostile to anyone that is not them, so if somebody happens to have a spell that makes them look like these little trolls, that person could be very very rich if his spell is long enough for his to penetrate inside the city and backstab a few of the trolls when the others are not looking and take thier loot.

Erm, Shashok20, there was no need to revive a dead thread. You could simply have posted your idea in the monster thread idea that is below this one. It is rather inconvenient to have two threads on the same topic going, too.

4. Name: Grynn
Difficulty: for beginners
Description: a small halfling jester with large hands and a colorful mardi-gras like mask.  The mask has a large grin on it but can swing around an axis in the center of the mask to form a frown.
Combat: Gryns travel in packs.  Their masks randomly spin to either a frown or a smile.  While the grynn are frowning they use offencive spells to damage their opponents.  While they are smiling they heal one another.  Grynns? masks are random so they are not necessary all smiling or grinning at a time.

19. Name: Zlu
Difficulty Easy
Description:  The Zlu are large snail like creatures with little more intelligence than their escargot cousins.  They are usually a pale white color.  When lef tto their own devices they slither around eating crystals with their tongue hanging out
Combat:  When agitated they sprout crystals (their source of food) from their shells and then ram into their targets.  Although usually extremely slow, the magicks of the crystals give them an incredable adrenaline boost during battle, making them faster than most Ylians.  They ram their targets hoping to injure them with the crystalline shards protruding from their shell.  After battle the crystals retreat back in the Zlu?s body and it is blissfully happy again.
