Hm, \"economically conservative\" and \"socially moderate\" are very loaded terms IMO, i.e. they represent not just the principles of conservativism/moderation, but the associated policies and ideas of groups who support them.
With regards to judging people by their government, in many cases (especially, but not limited to authoritarian regimes) the actions of the government are contrary to the wishes and/or interests of the people. On the other hand, government does not exist in a vacuum, so there has to be *some* group of people (however small) who are instrumental in making those decisions. Some are very aware of the implications; others make decisions based on the truth as they know it. Can we condemn people who in all honesty believe they are acting in the best interests of the people they are responsible for? What about people who think that things aren\'t right but do nothing except confer among like-minded people and agree that \"things could be done better\"? The only people who I can really label as \"bad\" are people who knowingly acted in their own self interest to the detriment of others.
I think we all sometimes make decisions that fit us into that last category.
Now that I\'m done philosophizing, I\'ll get back to criticism, where I belong

They proclaim themselves anarchists without knowing the meaning of the word
They meaning all teens?

It could be said that much of the population is \"uninformed and problematic\", or you could categorize older people as \"self satisfied and inflexible\". In many cases, you wouldn\'t be right about the majority of the people you\'re categorizing. Still, young people in general have a tendency towards making decisions and changing opinions very rapidly, and that probably leads to the knee-jerk \"hatred\" of America.
