Pretty cool that even after leaving this game for about two years now, that I can come back and see a list of names like that and actually remember about half of them. Hi to anyone out there who might still know who I am and goodbye Agara even though you know deep down inside you'll still come on to check up once in a while like I do.  ;D

This game has had more of a sense of family in an online community than I have found anywhere else.

I cannot help but wonder why we keep loosing our family members then. Efflixi Aduro will you return to play the game again?

Originally I decided to ease off of PS when Guild Wars came out. I ended up being a member in the highest ranked guild in my faction which literally had quotas to meet or you would be removed so I stopped PS. Once I quit playing GW I tried to come back and decided I wasn't into the whole idea of role playing any more so I would just be taking away from the games enviroment or forcing myself to rp.

I now waste most of my gaming time playing Elder Scrolls IV on my xbox wishing it was an online game.

Hey everyone. I have et another problem at work I was hoping someone here could solve my problem.

Okay so I have a list of thousands of names and addresses which are all in one collumn in different cells. For example:

Bob Smith
1000 Planeshift St.
Hydlaa, Ca 91201
John Smith
2000 Planeshift St.
Hydlaa, Ca 91201

And I need it split into 3 columns. Example:

Bob Smith | 1000 Planeshift St. | Hydlaa, CA 91201

Is there an automated way where it can take row 1 and keep it in place, move row 2 to column 2, row 3 to column 3 then just keep repeating that pattern?

Thanks for the help everyone.

And yes Hydlaa is located in California.

I have one that came with my scanner.

where'd the dancing nanner siggy go?  :-\

I have one with my scanner too but it isn't powerful enough to change the type into text accurately enough.

As far as the dancing nanner goes, I have no clue...  ::|
I'll get it back up when I go home today.

Hey fesfes >.>

The technical term for that kind of program is an optical character recognition (OCR) program. So you could use that as a start for your searches. I don't know of any really good free ones, but there are some commercial OCR programs that get advertised a lot in technology magazines and whatnot. Perhaps you could write it off as a business expense?

josePhoenix

Thank jose. I planned on writing it off as a business expense anyways. I already explained to her that there are programs for this exact thing so she's willing to pay for it since shed rather have me do something more productive for the next six months or so.

That name will help me a lot though. I've been looking for a long time with no worth while results hopefully this will turn the tides.  \\o//

Hey everyone. I'm in some need of some help I was wondering if anyone here could help me since the people on this forums know computers and such so well.

My boss gave me a list of almost 300 pictures that have typed text on them. She no longer has the original files so she wants me to re-type everything on it. This will take me months and months to type up so I want to just have it done through a program. A friend of mine had a program that was designed to read pictures and turn it into text but its very basic. If you guys can give me any names for professional programs that can read an image file and turn it into text I would be a very relieved human being. :)

P.S. Hey all :)

My vote would go to the wii because it has so much potential but so far only two games interest me on it. Zelda and Super Smash bros. Zelda I can get opn my gamecube and smash isnt even out yet. So... My vote is for the ps3.

The point of this part of the forums is to complain.
Do we discuss too much in general discussion?
If you don't like complaints don't look here it's that simple.

I honestly dont see ps turning into some huge game. I think the community will stay around the size it currently is maybe a bit bigger when sb finally decides to come out.
But hey, i'm still here arnt i.  :)
