Newbie Help (Start Here) / can't access old account

Hello,

I have not played this game in a very, very long time. But a youtube video popped up in my feed to remind me about it!

I was able to login to this old account for the forums, but when I try to login on the main website it says there is no account matching the email/account name I'm using for these forums. Any ideas how I could get that back? Or was it all deleted at some point?

...huge? No, seriously, it\'s 1100 files, but only 34MB. It\'s taking forever because it waits 5 seconds after downloading a 1KB file 8o

Just wondering if it\'s supposed to be like that, because I would really like to play...tonight.

Hi, I was just wondering why I can choose Load All Maps or Keep Maps Loaded in the Planeshift Setup thing. I would really like to be able to use Keep Maps Loaded option, but it just won\'t let me click it.

Anyone else have this problem?

Well, this is off topic, so I\'m pretty sure I can post this here. If not, one of the mods could kindly take it down.

Yup, you can get a free laptop. You basically sign up, then refer 18 people to sign up, get your laptop! You must have a credit card, therfore be 18+. You sign up, then complete one offer. eFax is the best, IMO, because it\'s completely free! You sign up, get credit for it, cancel it, then your never charged.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / A new Login-Probelem

When I run the program, it loads normal. Get to the login screen, it looks like that. Everything is fine, I click ok, then my character, then join. Everything loads just like normal. Wait, there\'s more:

Notice some of the buttons are transparent, and all of my items are transparent. It isn\'t that I changed the transparency settings, as I have checked them. I\'m also 100% sure that the transparency level wouldn\'t make things just disapear...

ANyway, does anyone have a solution?

It\'s still playable, since I know my way around the client pretty good, but it\'s still a crappy bug.

This is just something to help with the bandwith when CB becomes available. Just make the game into a Torrent file and then show people where to get BitTorrent. I would gladly help do this, but it would be hard because I have a slow download, so by the time I got the torrent up, most people would already be downloading.

Everything need can be found there. This is mainly directed toward the Devs, and they may already know about it. It would GREATLY reduce your bandwith though, because the more people that are downloading, the more people are uploading. It\'s a great system, and it can provide extremely fast speeds for popular downloads. Remeber though, leave it open after your downloads are complete. Help other people downloading to. If your not gonna be home and don\'t mind leaving your computer on, open up the torrnet and just upload to people. If nobody participates, then this will not work well.

BitTorrent works with anyfiles, and is very simple to use. If you need anymore help, just ask.

EDIT:
I\'m not sure if my post clearly says it. It will help with CLIENT download bandwith, not gameplay bandwith.

General Discussion / How I Like Planeshift

I just realized how cool it is to have a game that\'s not a MMORPG, but just a MORPG. The Mass is good, but I like the small community whilst in game. It\'s like a small town. It would be really cool if the devs could make little vilages, for people like me, and Big Cities, for people who like MASS people. Sure, I don\'t mind a lot, but it\'s really fun to have like a small town, all communicating. In the game that shall not be named, I have never just, well, talked. Planeshift, while some may find lacking, I find to be wonderful. Sure quests and leveling will be cool, but I rather enjoy this peaceful time before THOUSANDS of people come in and make everything, non-talkish.

Maybe you guys don\'t know what I\'m talking about, maybe you do. I just like the small community, not the thousands, but never really communicate, thing.

I remeber a topic about designing your own weapons, but most of you said it wouldn\'t work.

What if they simply put an option to turn it on and off. Then, people with faster computers and internet could have it, but people with slower connections could turn it off. I\'m no programmer, so I don\'t know if it\'s possible, but it\'s just an idea.

I hardly experience any lag, and I only have 256MB RAM p4 1.7Ghz processor. I don\'t know why some of you, with better **** than me have problems. All I can say is if you don\'t haev DSL or better, well, thats a big problem. And, for me, Windows 98 mode on XP just made it lag instaed of making the game better. Leav it as regular XP, no compatibility mode.

My screen barely shows anything. It\'s so small. How do they get that big screen for the screenshots? Can I set it to 1024 by 768 pixels? What about full screen? Please help me.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Chat Box Messed Up

I noticed in all of the screen shots, the chat box is in the bottom left, but for me it\'s in top right covering part of the menu! I have no clue why it does this, but the game is so laggy I can\'t really play it anyway. But, the chat box is still messed up I think.
