There's no such thing as an "addictive personality". At least, that's what I was taught. There's people who may have insecurities, or dependency issues, or were raised to believe 'drugs are the answer', but there's no such thing as someone who was born to be an alcoholic/druggie.

It doesn't have to be alcohol or drugs a person is addicted to. They can also develop this type of personality. You don't have to be born with it. (Just those statments tell me you know nothing about it) I have had some experience with people who have this sort of personality disorder. I have seen it with my own eyes, I know it to be true. Whether you believe it or not matters not to me, but there are many professionals out there that will strongly disagree with you. Unless you have done extensive research on this, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

Most people don't suffer year-long withdrawal symptoms, and even when they do, most of the symptoms are barely noticeable after the first month or so.

That is not true. O.o  I am surprized with all the back ground you claim to have, that you have never heard of a thing called "addictive personalities." Further more anti depressants have different affects on us all.  Some can stop taking it and not have issues. Where as others have to struggle with the drug not in their system and there is no time frame in which it will end. Could take weeks, months, years. Some people never really recover.

@Datruth: Oh my, so your upset because I said the truth? Must be after that long winded post that really accomplished nothing. You were being childish ... correction you still are. I asked you why you were being such an ass, (Obviously your post came across that way) I mean you were the one after all who ranted. I was responding to your silly rant. I haven't degraded myself in the least, though you can tell yourself that if it makes you feel any better. I told you how it was. Deal with it and maybe take a look in the mirror and grow up. Your posts are not being taken seriously because all you do is attack people when they don't agree with you. Might I also remind you, you were the one to be disrespectful when responding to my post. If you think you weren't then you definitely have issues.

I have a grudge you say? That's funny I don't recall ever saying that, or telling you that. Paraniod much? For the record there is no grudge I carry. I just don't like how you talk to people here on the forums, and think you have a lack of respect for peoples opinions. Please don't give me a long winded post about it, your posts are all over the forums and are proof of your selfish attitude.

You don't want to host them at times that are convienient for us, that's fine, remember, the events are for US, not gms.
If they were for GM's they'd be at times most convienient for you!

Just because I am a GM does not make me NOT a player. I know what events are for and that is the whole reason I joined the gm team. Again you have no right in the world to make demands of the GM team, or to lecture me on how to do my job. You have no idea how it works and therefore your opinion on it is nil and void. Until you can show some respect don't expect me to take anything you say seriously and don't even talk to me about how things should be run because the only thing you know how to run is your mouth!

*bows*  I have nothing further to say on this matter and apologize to the thread started for going off topic.

[Edit] One more thing to add. I am a female, not male.

Gm's dont seem to hear us and I hope their is a compromise.

This seems to be quite a common mistake. Gm's are do not have the creative liberties to alter the game in anyway. We are NOT responsible for the games changes. We volunteer our time to help police the game so that the Dev's have more time to work on the game and it's coding, bug fixes, etc. We are regular players with an extra title and a few extra commands to help us deal with problematic players who do not follow the game rules.

As for the Dev's, they DO listen. No matter how much the player base whines that they do not. Wouldn't you be interested in what people had to say or suggest if they were playing a game you created? Just because the game doesn't change fast enough to fit your needs, does not mean that they don't hear you or your suggestions. Here are two examples of them listening  (1) Pets - Players requested them and guess what, they were added. (2) More emotes - As of the new client they are now implimented. To top it off there are plenty. Now what should be proof to you players that the Dev's do hear you, is the past client releases. There are many things implimented in these releases that show the Dev's have heard your requests. Come on people, it isn't as bad as you make it out to be!

I agree parallo. It is also a display of how childish Datruth can be. He likes to think he is all that and a bag of chips, but what he fails to realise is he isn't taken seriously when he acts like that. Give thought to his post, he asks. Well my thoughts on it is ...... I think your being an ass for no reason, and you need to check your head.

Oh ya and Datruth just keep this in mind ....... I really don't care if your events are better or not. I only care that there are some taking place in game. I am not playing the who's better game. If you want to divide the community with the us against them mentality that is up to you but try not to include me in your insane rantings.

Actualy i agree with him i mean no offense to the GM team your events are always good but theres always more story more fun and just more meaning to the player-made events and they are majority

No offence taken. You are just giving your point of view in a nice, respectful way.

I to have had huge fun in player events [Because I am not only a Gm but a player] and of course they seem more fun, more story and more meaning. That is because you players did the work to make the event happen and you have control over it. You can appreciate it, take pride in it and enjoy it with those who you enjoy role-playing with. Alot of the player events seem to be more for those who are involved in that group, which would make sense as to why they are more fun and relaxed to those particular people.

Just keep in mind that the Gm's have to do their events differently from the player events. We have alot more rules we need to consider and we are not just throwing these events for friends, but for the whole community.

I would have to agree with that... if there's enough gm's online for an event the day before... some important day... maybe they should wait so more people could enjoy the event

This is proof that no matter how hard we try not everyone will be happy. If you miss events, it is because you couldn't be there but that shouldn't stop the Gm's from running them at random when they can. We shouldn't have to have day timers and pencil in every character so they can be apart of it. We don't have that kind of time! They don't always happen on Sundays. They happen when we have enough of the team online. So when we throw them take the event as is and enjoy it. If you miss it at least be happy there are events being run.

I miss rping with zorbels.

Awww, well sorry about that.  :(
* Akaye blasts real life too.

What I miss is the gatherings that used to take place at Trepor Valley. We would hunt in groups and every so often you would see a newbie running from the ruins screaming help as an ulber chased him. Used to be fun to jump in and save the day. We would work as a group to slay the ulber because we would all be fairly low on stats. *sigh* Oh the good 'ol days.

Well I don't know about me losing my temper but I can admit to being annoyed. Guess I wasn't envolved from the begining to have it effect me the way it did others. Anyway I am so very pleased with this thread ending ithis way. I don't think any heated thread in these forums has actually accomplished this type of ending. YAAAAAAAAY HUGS!

Those who are in a position to make changes must be given the opportunities to do so.

Now that is exactly the kind of attitude I think the dev's would appreciate to see from others. Thanks Gwinn for your imput. Also thank you for taking my post as was, I appreciate it. I understand your standing now.  :)

This thread's been filled with people saying they'd reported the bug to gm's,

For the record this bug was NEVER reported to me in game or on the forums. Last week I was around planeshift quite abit, just before Eid's banning. Then I had internet problems. Where were all these reports and concerns about this bug? ..... or was everyone to busy filling up their pockets with trias/items and then when the wipe came got mad and needed something to crab about?

Now here comes the part where everyone calls me an ass****, but I really don't care, you can say it all you want. I'm going back to what I first said, all of this crap is going to lead to the game dying, because the community does nothing but exploit this crap.

You've been saying that for the past two years. Yet, here the game is, stronger than ever and with more players even. Besides you don't give the community any credit. All we do is exploit crap? That statment is crap. You ever hear of something called role-play? There are members in this community who do nothing but and couldn't give a rats ass about exploits. Come on Suno! You of all people should kow that.

@Gwinn Ravenn: Your telling me your not argumentative in you post then I can accept that. It did appear though like you were riding in on a white horse to save Suno, when more often than not his opinions have insulted people all over the forums. He is only getting the respect he has given the team. His opinions would be taken more seriously if he gave them in a more respectful manner. It isn't just this thread I speak of. I have nothing else to really add to your post or to discuss with you but I hope you understand what I am saying.

Edit; I also want to add I agree with Karyuu and her post. Don't you players understand that the Dev team is getting tired of your insults complaints. How many times to you think they are going to take it before they decide they have had enough and snap back. If I wouldn't know any better the community treats the devs like they are not human and should have super powers. Gesh, how horrible of those devs to not be on the ball when the players snap their fingers and say go.  ::)
